My son & I had a nice stay at the property. I would say though, for a 5 star resort I wasn’t expecting so many things to be in need of repair. Our room had a few fixtures that needed replacing, also the balcony had areas that were heavily worn and coming apart. Finally, the quality of the evening buffet wasn’t great. There was a poor selection and flavour was non existent. This was really disappointing for the amount they charged me for this (€88 for myself and my 7 year old). However, the staff were attentive, and the place was very clean. The cleaners do a fantastic job, they were also really nice.

Very friendly staff, beautiful hotel. Staircase walk down to private beach was amazing. Hiked from hotel to Villamoura marina along the cliffs.

A spectacular property steps away from the beach that should be on everyone’s shortlist. But I appreciate it most about this hotel is that it was quiet. No DJ with music blasting all day. This is a resort for mature folks who are looking for relaxation and tranquility. Combine with the incredible spa, fitness, and restaurants it is the ultimate wellness retreat.

Front desk is friendly and approachable. Management is very good. Issues were dealt with quickly. Spa concierge - not helpful at all. Massage totally not worth it. Also, they will give you a complimentary welcome drink at their bar but it doesn’t gives you an amount nor do they tell you that certain drinks will not be covered. It’s a surprise at the end they you end up having to pay for it. It should tell you what is covered or the amount.

Seul bémol: aucun accueil particulier pour les clients qui viennent tous les ans, aucune attention particulière en chambre( petits cadeaux ou autres) Et surtout un personnel de réception désagréable: en tant que client gold, aucun surclassement, aucune arrivée précise, aucun départ tardif n est toléré même si l’hôtel n est pas plein Cela fait des années que j’y séjourne pour des séjours de 4 nuits à 21 nuits, aucunes attentions particulières, jamais un surclassement, jamais un départ tardif autorisé

As returning guests we enjoyed another gorgeous stay at the Epic Sana Algarve. From the minute we arrive we relax. Don't have to think about anything other than which pool to swim in, where to sit in the gardens to read a book or snooze, what time to go to the beach and where to eat. Beautiful! Local amenities very close by. All staff are so friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed a few days at this property. Its location is outstanding although it is in a remote area from other towns and cities. The hotel is accessed through a long, winding, and not in optimal conditions route.

Das Hotel und die Anlage sind sehr schön, das Essen sehr lecker und frisch. Die Mitarbeiter im Service freundlich. Trotzdem hatte ich mich nicht so erholen können wie erhofft. Ich hatte Zimmer NR 101 bekommen. Dies liegt direkt neben der Bar. Bis 1 Uhr Nachts war da Party und ich hatte laute Bässe und Musik bis ins Zimmer gehört. Ich ging mich um 0:00 Uhr an der Rezeption beschweren. Es hieß, dass man an der Bar Bescheid sagt um die Musik leiser zu machen. Wurde nicht gemacht bis dann um 1 Uhr die Bar sowieso geschlossen wurde. Am nächsten Tag ging ich wieder zur Rezeption und verlangte und bekam auch ein neues Zimmer weiter hinten. Abends bemerkte ich dann, dass die Badewanne kaputt war und auslief. Der ganze Boden war nass. Ich ging wieder zur Rezeption und bekam wieder ein neues Zimmer. 3 Zimmer in 3 Tagen. Wie soll man sich da erholt fühlen. War echt schon nervig. Und außerdem sehr frech jemandem Zimmer 101 anzubieten. Kann man vielleicht Partyleuten vermieten, aber dann sollte man das vorher sagen. Also wenn ihr Zimmer 101 bekommt und Ruhe haben wollt beschwert euch sofort.

Brilliant Staff
We first visited this hotel 8 years ago as a family and returned as a couple. It has dated a bit (especially the bathroom design) but it has been well maintained and isn't tired. The staff are absolutely excellent and really make the place what it is. Management, housekeeping, concierge all can't do enough to make sure you have everything you need. The location is perfect, right on the best beach in the Algarve. You can walk along the beach to Vilamoura (50 mins). There is a small square just outside the grounds with a few restaurants including a great pizzeria. Albufeira and Vilamoura are a short uber ride away so everything you need is within reach. The hotel pools are also nice and breakfast is excellent. The only complaint we had was that there was a private corporate function while we were there which meant that the bar was closed off. That would have been okay for an evening but the event also went on to 1am which is an hour later than the bar is open to guests. Our upgraded ocean view room was directly above this so we felt like we were at the event. As with corporate events a 100 or so people then stumbled and shouted their way back to their rooms so there wasn't peace until 2.30am. I went and spoke to reception as we had arrived that day and were tired. They were excellent and offered us another room but it just seems that the owners need to rethink mixing corporate and leisure guests.

Won’t return
Poor service (eg when I called housekeeping no one answered, had to phone reception twice before someone answered). Towels in bathrooms are very worn out (pictures) and when I complained about this one morning there was no response for 11hours. Breakfast good but the same every day. Will try somewhere else next time I visit the Algarve.

Awesome Resort!
Excellent in almost every way gorgeous hotel with friendly and willing staff, spa services were fabulous only excepts: the dining options were limited since one restaurant was closed, the Japanese one and one only had an expensive tasting menu no a la carte options Also would have been nice to have the adult outdoor pool heated

Accueil et Check-un rapide, chaleureux, efficace. Chambre So Suite spacieuse, quelques détails nécessitent un rafraîchissement (joint lavabo, étagère salle de bain…) mais chambre propre, bien entretenue. Piscines bien entretenue, personnels très aimable. Accès à la plage charmant. Spa bien pensé, seul bémol est que l’accès à la salle d’eau avec le sauna et hammam est payante, 15€… ça devrait être compris dans le séjour. La demi pension avec le petit déjeuner est complet avec des mets plutôt bien pensés. Le repas du soir est tres sympa également. Globalement un séjour très agréable. A refaire

We stayed at Epic Sana for 5 nights with 2 children under the age of 5. The resort was very calm, clean and the rooms were generous. They have an indoor pool which came handy when the waves were large at the beach. The kids club was fantastic, well planned activities every day so we could relax a bit..on one day they had an external wildlife company brinf in reptiles for the kids to see which was the biggest highlight for my kids The staff were super helpful and polite at all times and ensured we had the best stay. We've been to several resorts in Portugal and Spain with our children but this one is the only one we want to come back to. Thanks a lot for everything 🙏
