“Friendly and helpful staff, along with a decent dinner menu in the bar were the highlights. Skimpy breakfast with awful coffee. Room was dated. Pancake pillows. Cramped shower. Walls are thin and could hear neighbors’ phone alarms and opening/closing room doors all morning. Unable to sleep after 5am. Dinner in the restaurant was fully booked by a large group when checking in. Would not stay here again.”

“Stopped at the hotel for a night. Great location and view. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Hotel is a little dated, but that is part of it's charm, though room could do with a little touch up. Breakfast was a buffet, had variety but lacked quality for the cooked part.”

“Our room was spacious, with a picturesque water view. Hotel staff are friendly and engaging; made us feel welcome. The restaurant is great. Breakfast, too. And the pub where we chatted with some very nice folk. Worth the splurge.”

“This is a great hotel and would stay there again. Only complaint is pictures on expedia do not match the assigned room. Example, we booked a room with a clawfoot bathtub that also had more windows. The front desk staff acknowledged the pictures do not match the rooms. Overall, great property.”

“Wonderful, friendly welcome and very well trained staff - just the right balance of attention and interaction. Very comfortable with quality surrounding us. Food excellent with a detailed explanation of dishes & wines. Lovely views over the Loch and walks within the grounds. Expedia had failed to pass on our booking to the hotel so we were not expected but staff recognised it was Expedia's failure but even so were apologetic and upgraded our room !”

“This was a great place - highly recommend. Not sure, but almost appeared it has been recently updated, everything looked new. Rooms were great and comfortable -- had Seaview upper floor room -- more than ample space, heated bathroom floors! On-site free parking. Restaurant was very nice and breakfast was included and perfect way to start day. Staff was excellent. Great place to stay.”

“The hotel was perfectly located for our roadtrip. We didn't have to drive into Isle of Skye when we arrived to the area late in the evening. The staff was welcoming and helpful with our late arrival as well. The room was extraordinary. It had a beautiful water view. The vibe at the hotel was quaint and homey. Everything was well maintained and extremely clean. We would stay again.”

“I booked a room described as a 'Double or twin room with sea view'. In the notes of the booking, I requested twin beds but I was allocated a double room. The man serving me - older gentleman, white hair - would have struggled to care less. No apology, he just blamed Expedia and gave us a room with no view, which wasn't how we wanted to end our trip. There are signs everywhere telling guests what all the rules are. The hotel feels like an old people's home rather than a holiday destination. ...
