Older hotel, but nostalgic. Great location, walkable to shops and sites. Room 11 wasn’t huge, but does it need to be? We were not there for the hotel other than to sleep - and the bed was comfortable. We had a canal view. You do hear the partiers across the canal at a tavern. And apparently other people staying in the hotel didn’t think it was disrespectful to let their room door slam. Friendly keeper. I would stay again.

Great location. We walked everywhere. Our hotel room had a very comfortable bed, was clean, breakfast was good. Staff were pleasant. The building is old and quaint. We had a beautiful view of the canal. The hotel does need refurbishing. The bathrooms need a full gut and flooring needs to be replaced. There was peeling paint on the window frames.

The hotel is a perfect location … very old and quaint. However needs some upgrading and maintenance. Similar to a hostel …but clean sheets and duvet / so perfect. If you are looking for someplace close and walkable to city center - and only use your room to sleep - perfect.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and was genuinely impressed by the level of service throughout my visit. The canal view is beautiful. Staff were extremely kind, and helpful, especially as we did not speak much Dutch. Room was very cozy, the bedding was very comfortable and felt high quality. Charming small hotel with friendly staff. Not a large anonymous 'chain' type hotel, nor hyper-luxurious, but rather a guest house feel. The room was clean, stay was comfortable, location excellent. Good for the price, I would stay again.
