We were only there one night but it was a very pleasant experience. The staff was very welcoming - we have too many devices to charge and they were very helpful in getting them charged. Very convenient to Central Station and Dam Square. Highly recommend!

Great boutique hotel within brief walking distance from Amsterdam Centraal Station and on one of the main canals. Close to many shops and restaurants too. The staff were very friendly and the room was large, clean and comfortable. Highly recommended especially for short stays.

We found the accommodations easy to find and close to everything. Comfortable bed, spacious and cozy and definitely quiet. We were close to the train stations, hop in and off boats and busses to getting around was easy. We were only there for 2 days and we did miles on our feet day and night exploring all Amsterdam had to offer. Highly recommended

Very well located - short walk from train station and not far to Dam Square. Our room was very comfortable and overlooked the canal. It was very quiet and dark at night so we slept well. Breakfast was good but quite a limited range of choices if you stay for a few days. We would recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the family room for 3 nights. The layout worked perfectly for us. Two teens enjoyed their bunk beds which are in different space from the main king bed. And the whole room is quiet and spacious. The location is wonderful and walkable to many attractions. The breakfasts are delicious and of many choices. The air conditioning worked great. The staff are diligent and truly helpful. They do not have parking space but not a problem for us since we did not drive. Wonderful stay.

Our second visit to Amsterdam and after a scan around the internet for other hotel options we quickly came to the conclusion that there was only one hotel for us. Four years ago we stayed at Mai for my partner's 40th and this time we were returning with her mother & step-father. We couldn't fault the hotel the first time around and I'm pleased to say everything is the same now. You simply cannot beat the location; 5-10 minutes from the train station depending on how quick you walk & how many times you nearly get run over by a bike, a quiet canal side on the edge of Amsterdam's Chinatown and 5-10 minutes to the excitement of the red light district. All this and it's still a super quiet hotel that gives you a great night's sleep (although you do hear some noise from the rooms above we found this time). Another issue that people have mentioned on other reviews is some of the reception staff being rude. We interacted with everyone and, just like four years ago, they were all super friendly. The honesty bar is such a great addition to this hotel with premium drinks at better prices than you'd find in the city. The room was cleaned daily and the breakfast options are perfect to set you up for a day's sightseeing. I'm not sure we'd stay anywhere else if we were to visit Amsterdam again.

I loved this hotel. I needed a location close to the train station but you would never guess this hotel is so close to the action. It's on a quiet street with friendly staff, big rooms, and I had a view of the canal. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was really excellent. The room was huge and so was the bathroom. Everything pristine ly clean, both in the room and throughout the hotel. All the staff were delightful and very helpful. The breakfast was superb, with everything you could possibly want. The honesty bar worked really well and was a great extra feature. The WiFi worked well and we had no problem with it. The location was ideal, such an easy walk from the station where you can pick up trams for all parts of the city, but it was also easy to walk to most places too. Lots of places to eat nearby in the evenings if you don't want to go far from base. Lovely quiet location by the canal despite being so conveniently placed. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and certainly will return if we go back to Amsterdam.

Location is the main benefit as it is right next to the airport so good choice if you have a morning flight and want to avoid Bangalore traffic. Rooms are spacious & comfortable. Food slection is good. Unfortunately, the property itself is a bit of a sprawl (you feel like you are in an airport terminal) and rather sterile but for many people this will not be an issue...

We had a wonderful stay in every way. First of all, the location was perfect. Being close to Amsterdam Central Station made it extremely easy to access all public transportation options such as buses, trains, and trams, which was a huge convenience during our trip. From the moment we checked in, we were very pleased with everything — the reception staff, housekeeping, and all the hotel employees were friendly and helpful. We stayed in a canal-view room, and the view was beautiful. The room size was also quite comfortable and sufficient. Another thoughtful touch was that after check-out, they safely stored our luggage with claim tags until our flight time, which we really appreciated. Everything was excellent. Thank you, Hotel Mai!
