Excellent funky hotel with the option of foregoing a room, clean and instead of free drink! Loved this and the sitting area

Clean room, great location, and incredible staff. Super informative and very helpful - would recommend this hotel to anyone. A short walk from Amsterdam Central Station and tourist spots so ideal place to stay.
Highly recommend this property. Great location, especially if you need to be close to the main train station. A great quirky vibe, enhanced by our canal-facing rooms.
Nice little boutique hotel. Room was clean and cozy. Staff was really nice and helpful. Great location. Bed was comfortable. Shower was spectacular. Lots of electrical outlets in the room. The only drawback was it was really, really noisy. Not sure who was making the noise - guests, staff, outside folks - but it woke me up on many occasions including early in the morning and late at night. And much of it was sustained. Other than that, a delightful place.

Great staff, small room was a bit too tiny, compact bathroom. Nice breakfast and cool lobby. Great location.
Great place to stay. Close to all the main streets while still feeling quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. Stairs up to our room were quite steep although I think that is quite common in the Netherlands.
Room was perfect, myself and my Dog Amber was well received and looked after. The little things like a hand written welcome note, a compliment drink of your choice etc made it all that better. I only wish I could of stayed longer, thank you
The staff were so genuinely helpful and kind. I felt immediately warmly welcomed and considered. The room was ideal for our layover, 15/20 mins from the airport and walkable to everything! Canal facing made it extra special.
The location is unbeatable - right on the most beautiful canal in the city. Close to many restaurants and shops, and a very manageable walk to the museum district. The staff are very helpful!
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Room had no fridge so I had to go downstairs every morning for fresh milk for tea. It was actually quite noisy and we were woken 2 out of 3 mornings.
It lacked atmosphere and felt more like a 3 star than a 4 but the room was clean and comfortable and the location was good.
Very clean, quiet neighborhood only 10min walk to train and red light. Yeah it in a traditional Amsterdam house so the steps are a bit steep but that’s character.
We got a medium room, and it was comfortable although small by USA standards. It was clean and the staff was wonderful. We got the hotel breakfast 2 of our 3 days and it was very good, and a better value compared to what we found walking around the city. The hotel is close to the train station and canal tour organizations. It is along walk to museums, but an easy tram ride. Trams 2 & 12 go north and south along the tourist areas.
The Max Brown hotel was conveniently located. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were small but adequate. My room had a window but it opened into an alley where the laundry room was located so it was an early wake up call.
