“Functional stop over location breaking up journey to Cornwall. AC wasn't working in one room. Staff said it was fixed after we had been out for dinner, but it hadn't and either they didn't know how to fix it or were more tolerant of the heat. Also it's an absolute cheek that the hotel charges you to stay in the car park when it's clear everyone will need to drive to it and there's nothing else there. Other than that it was average.”

“Clean room slightly smell but slept well and friendly staff, ideal for just getting head down for sleep, didn't recall being told about £5 parking fee. But all good”

“The room was beautifully decorated and well maintained. We had a lovely view over the hills. The staff were helpful and accommodating. We had a meal in the restaurant which was lovely but we did have a substantial wait (45+ minutes) which we were not warned about. Overall a lovely place to stay, I would go there again.”

“We had a room on the front, no air, room not aired, constant road noise all through the night. Mattress stained, carpet stained. Tables sticky in the restaurant - avoided breakfast.”

“There was an outside area we could sit in after our walk and meal out, which was nice instead of sitting in our room. Room/bedding was clean. Shower worked well. Parking an issue, we were lucky and the host was helpful, but it is on a main road you cant park on. Only a walk away from town centre/supermarket.”

“Stayed at the Fox and Goose for 5 days. Looked after by the staff at all times. Very comfortable room which was serviced daily. The food was excellent with good sized meals which were served by very pleasant staff. Will definitely stay there again.”

“No thanks to Expedia who booked a us a family room for us when none was available- however the staff at the hotel were great and were able to find a solution for one night. Hotel is in a great spot and the staff are very accommodating.”
