"We stayed in the #12 cottage, which was the same price or less as most hotels in the area . This cottage is pretty small and not as updated as the other cottages, but it was just fine for our needs. I think the biggest issue is that some windows don't open and the bedroom windows hinge open from the bottom and can't be held open (they would need a hook in the ceiling to hold them. I put a shoe in the frame to let some air in. I'm a fresh air person and love the cool air from the lake). One of the bedrooms does have a smaller window on the side that opens. The best thing about the resort is the ease of communication with the owners, who answered several questions by text ahead of time, and to check in you just walk into the cottage and text them that you're there. The cabin came with a container of local ice cream, and the kitchen was well-appointed with old-school tile decor. There's water access where you can swim or launch a canoe or kayak. There's also a grill, fire pit and picnic table in the front. They don't require a 2-night stay so it's a good option either for a longer vacation or a stop-in like we did."
