Check in was wonderful, Vasiliki was very polite and professional. Finding the parking of the hotel was a tricky one. There were 5 spaces near the entrance - all taken when we arrived, so we parked on the street and got a ticket. The room was spacious and beautiful. Being on the ground floor, there is no balcony, instead a lovely space with table and chairs, and sea view. There is no mosquito net, though and the isolation allows you to hear everything in the hallway and the next room. The negative surprise was 2 empty mini bars and the fact that you need to pay for a bottle of water, in an all inclusive hotel. You also nees to go to the reception desk to get a key for the safe and, again, pay for it. The next negative surprise was the lack of amenities. There are no slippers, minimum bathroom amenities, no laundry bag and no bathrobe, not even even places to hang the towels :( I would never expect that a 4 star hotel will not have slippers or bathrobes, that was so disappointing. When I called for an iron and ironing board - the hotel does not provide ironing board and the iron you need to take from the reception desk, personnel can not bring it to the room. They eventually found an ironing board and even managed to deliver everything in the room. Last, hopefully, surprise, after calling to ask for a late check out, we were informed that we can use the room until 16:00 with a surcharge. Bien situé en Crète pour découvrir les environs, le bon petit déjeuner avec de magnifiques vues sur la mer, le personnel très gentil et aimable avec nous et notre petite (quasiment tous parlent quelques mots de français), je recommande vivement d'y séjourner!

L’emplacement est super. L’hôtel est assez calme. Par contre la literie n’est pas confortable et le frigo dans la chambre n’a pas de grande utilité puisqu’il ne fonctionne plus lorsque que nous sortons de la chambre.

Great staff, nice breakfast but pool too noisy
Reception staff were very good especially Niki (excellent English!).As others have commented the pool area can be extremely loud at times, not conducive to a relaxing break. That said, the free beach facilities make a decent alternative. Choice and quality of breakfast items was excellent. One minor issue - why are there no locked facilities for storing suitcases for guests leaving later in the afternoon?

Lovely Hotel in a Great Location
The Bali Paradise is a lovely clean hotel set in beautiful grounds with good facilities. Two pools with great views down to the bay, tennis, table tennis, boules, mini golf - all free to use plus pool tables (2 Euros). Bali is a lovely resort covering a number of small bays between Heraklion and Rethymnon. Each bay has a number of good tavernas with well priced Greek food. A quaint tourist train runs between each of the bays for 5 Euros return. This is good if you don't like steep hills as the resort is a series of climbs to and from the beaches. The hotel has 99% French guests but this didn't bother us - a chance to test out the little French we could remember from school. Hotel staff and animations team mostly spoke good English although entertainments and activities were unsurprisingly all in French. All staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis which suited as it allowed us to try out the local tavernas but everyone else seemed to be all inclusive. Food and drink was plentiful and of good quality. Would definitely recommend as long as you can cope with hills and don't mind being the only English couple in the hotel.

Amazing hotel, not so good staff
The hotel is beautiful however when we walked in, no one helped us with our bags. We had to carry 4 bags (between the 2 of us) up steap hills. Check in was nice and quick. Once we got into the room we found out it was two single beds they put together (even though we specifically asked for a double) and the wifi wasnt connecting to our room. When we complained to reception they apologised but didn’t do anything until i put a negative feedback on here. They then quickly fixed the problem and we were moved to another room (which had wifi and one double bed). the hotel does offer a lot and their pool was incredible. The buffet was very good and the best one ive been to in Greece. Overall the place was nice but i wish we were treated better. During our stay one of the waitresses was very rude because we decided to change our table (the sun was way to strong on top of our heads). Once again when we complained they did not do anything. While the hotel is nice some of the staff need to be more professional.

Disappointing
The location is very nice, and the view from the room is wonderful. The room itself was functional, but too old-fashion and plain for a 4-star hotel (for instance, the shower had a tent instead of glass panels, so a lot of water went out). Breakfast was rich but chaotic. Moreover, there were no specific options for celiacs (as my girlfriend is), as I would expect from a 4-star hotel. Finally, the hotel is targeted at French people, so ~95% of the guests came from France. No one was hostile to us, neither from the staff nor from the guests, but I don't like hotels made for a specific category of people.

Отель нам понравился. Территория большая, красивая, ухоженная, есть 3 бассейна (один из них с горками, работает по определённым часам). Завтраки вкусные, но не слишком разнообразные. Номера убирают не слишком чисто. Уборка это для нас самый большой минус в этом отеле. Анимация вся на французском, в том числе и детская. Хотя для детей там куча развлечений у аниматоров, что-то типа детского лагеря! На ресепшн очень доброжелательные сотрудники. Отель расположен недалеко от пляжа, на пляже есть зона с лежаками для отдыхающих отеля,большой плюс. Мы заказывали трансфер из аэропорта, потопу что достаточно сложно добираться своим ходом. Интернета в нашем номере практически не было. Хорошо ловил в зоне ресепшн. Есть 2 телеканала на русском языке. Чудесный балкон с видом на море.

Ένα από τα καλύτερα ξενοδοχεία, σε αυτή την πολύ τουριστική περιοχή, βολικό, άνετο και καθαρό δωμάτιο, πλήρως ανακαινισμένο, πολλές παροχές ( πισίνες κλπ) πλούσιο πρωινό, δικές του ξαπλώστρες στην παραλία απ'ο κάτω, κλπ. Άριστη επιλογή!!

One of the best Bali hotels...if you're French
Well, the first thing you need to know that hotel is a member of french Club Lookea. So, all the rooms in main building are available to the members only. The only facility available for non-members is the so-called "villa", small, cheap-decorated, dirty, with no windows in the bedroom etc. In the end we stayed in the main building (hurrah for the management of the hotel), BUT we had to leave in 5 days. BUT we did get part of our money back (hurrah again for the management and Hotels.com). The food is great (we opted for HB), the hotel has rented the part of the beach, BUT water sports are available (guess) only for the members of the club. Most of the guests are french elders. SO: if you're not member of the Club Lookea - do not stay at Bali Paradise. Bali itself is a very small village near Rethymnon, quiet and boring. In the end we moved to Rethymnon.

Hôtel agréable dans un minuscule "village"
1ère chose : la Crète au mois d'octobre... à éviter! Nous n'avons pas eu un seul jour sans une goutte de pluie. Bref, dans ces conditions, nous étions contentes d'être dans cet hôtel agréable. Chambre très simple, mais literie confortable et ménage fait tous les jours. L'équipe d'animateurs Lookéa est très sympathique. Ils ne poussent pas aux activités mais sont présents si l'on s'ennuie. Nous étions en 1/2 pension et nous avons vraiment bien mangé. Il y en a pour tous les goûts. En revanche, si vous y allez pour le tourisme la location de voiture est indispensable car autour de l'hôtel il n'y a franchement pas grand chose à faire!

bon hôtel, équipe d'animation sympathique, bonne qualité des repas du soir au buffet, un peu moins pour le matin (café pas très bon et le pain ne vaut pas notre baguette parisienne malheureusement). beau panorama sur des montagnes, gentillesse et serviabilité appréciées du personnel. par contre cet hôtel n'est pas un 4 étoiles à mes yeux et à mon expérience (les serviettes de plage et piscine et le jus d'orange pressé sont payants alors qu'on est en all inclusive, de même le frigo n'est pas approvisionné chaque jour d'eau et de quelques fruits alors que dans la plupart des hôtels 4 * en all inclusive c'est le cas, pas de décoration particulière quand le ménage est fait dans les chambres du type pliage décoratif des serviettes de bain sur les lits par exemple). En somme je qualifierais l'hôtel plus comme un très bon 3 étoiles bis.

Emplacement idéal pour visiter toute l'île
Séjour très agréable. Hôtel sympa, bien situé. Les chambres sont très propres mais un peu simple (douche avec rideau par exemple, équipement assez sommaire). Celles sous la piscine au dessus du parking sont un peu bruyante. Le personnel est très gentil et très disponible. L'animation est top, beaucoup d'animation proposée, équipe très sympa super dynamique mais pas envahissante. Bonne ambiance garantie.

Nice place to stay
The hotel is great and the food was pretty good. It was a bit too cold to dip in the water (in November) but the pools seem pretty nice as well as the beach. It is a bit far from the places to visit so a rental car is almost a must unless you want to stay at the hotel most of the time. I recommend the Jeep Safari expedition up the Crete mountains, a pretty interesting day I must say.

For French speaking only!!
If you don't speak French , DON'T go there!!!! ALL guests , employees and every signs and notes in the hotel are in French only, nothing in English. the beds in the room are not comfortable at all, my husband and me got 2 separate beds, very old mattress and furniture in the room, pools and beach are really nice , hotel has nice view. the food in the dinning room is ok, not more than that...you must rent a car if you want to go out of this village..other than that, the hotel is nice.

Ingen følelse av å være på Kreta, all informasjon foregikk på fransk, De fleste ansatte var franske, selv maten ble beskrevet på fransk! Mange merkelige regler. Ikke vannkoker eller mulig å få morgenkaffe på rommet. Ble irettesatt av hovmesteren da jeg tok en kopp UT av restauranten på morningen for å sitte på terassen. Og til middag stengte de kaffemaskinen fordi da ble gjestene sittene for lenge ved bordet. PENGER FREMFOR SERVICE. Jeg bestillte tur kun 9 timer før vi dro og var vedlig stresset, bommet på bookingen og best fra torsdag til torsdag. Så først at jeg hadde 8 dager i stede for 7 , første dagen jeg var der. Regnet med at de ville ordne opp i dette. Snakket med en av de ansatte som sa at på dette hotellet betydde servic mer enn pengene. men NEI..overhodet uaktuelt var beskjeden fra hotellsjefen som stod m kalkulator og kun snakket om penger. Jeg viste tidspunket turen ble booket på og sa at jeg hadde gjort en feil. . Videre hadde vi 2 dobbelrom, for 4 personer og vi hadde betalt for frokost og middag. Da vi bare var 3 personer, meg og to tennåringer, regnet jeg med at vi kanskje da kunne endre til lunch for oss 3, men NEI. Jeg var sjokkert. Så hvis du ønsker et totalt FRANSK hotell, hvor pengene kommer langt fremfor god service så vil du nok kose deg.

Très belle situation
Nous avons passé 15 jours formidables du 22 août au 05 septembre 2013. L'hotel est idéalement situé dans la baie de Bali à mi chemin entre Héraklion et Réthimon pour découvrir cette trés belle région de l'ile. Doté de 2 piscines et d'un accès à la mer à 3 minutes à pied, avec toutes les commodités à portée, l'hotel est très propre, calme et le personnel très agréable parle Français. Nous étions pour notre part en demi pension et n'avons vraiment pas été déçus par la qualité de la restauration (plats variés et cuisine de bonne qualité pour satisfaire tous les goûts).Beaucoup d'animations proposées pour ceux qui le souhaitent grace à une équipe trés sympathique. En résumé, une très belle expérience dans cet établissement que nous n'hésitons pas à recommander.

Det hotellet ligger i fantastiskt område, bra mat, bra service, men... Jag har varit där med min dotter som är 9 år gammal och hon tycker att där var tråkigt och jag håller med. Personal, animations grupp pratar franska och även ignorerar folk som pratar engelska. Därför ger jag betyg 4. Det hotellet är utmärk för franska människor eller som kan franska.

The annoying things were the cleaning staff, they did not wait to answer the knocking they just came in, the second thing is that the hotel is french orientated so every thing is in french if you do not speak french it is hard to understand the entertainment which is a lot.

Schönes gepflegtes Hotel
Also wir können dieses Haus nur weiter empfehlen. Das Hotel liegt am Anfang von der Ortschaft Bali. Besonders empfanden wir, dass es auch einen Securities Dienst welcher darauf geachtet hat, dass nur Hotelgäste das Areal betreten konnten. Zimmer war voll in Ordnung und wurde auch jeden Tag gereinigt. Frühstück voll in Ordnung. Allerdings waren wir die einzigen deutschsprachigen Gäste, ansonsten waren nur Gäste aus Frankreich. Aber wie bereits mitgeteilt, ein Hotel, dass man problemlos weiterempfehlen kann. Es war rundherum ein schöner Urlaub!
