There are staff who take on the roles of various locals that really bring this place to life. This picture is from the town where you can explore a bank, shops, pub, dentists and lots of other things as well as ride in traditional vehicles of the time. Such a brilliant experience.

The Beamish Open Air Museum tells the story of North East England during the 1820's 1900's and 1940's
Beamish has preserved many aspects of history from North- East England with many fine shops and businesses. Here is one of a few working trams which transports visitors around the large site often used in period TV and cinema films.
One of the most authentic historical living museums I've seen. The people you meet make this place so special just ask them about the history of their chosen home and they have a wealth of information.
