It was a good place to come in late when we came into Bishop nice and clean very cute and homely. The only problem we had was the mattress was too hard the sides that a nice place to stay for an overnight.

Old hotel, a bit rundown but trying to renew. Clean enough on the inside but grounds untidy. Bed nice, pillows flat and only 2.

We didn’t stay at el rancho as it didn’t look like a safe motel. We stayed at their other property which was safer. Staff were helpful. the condition of the property is not great but Ok for one night.

It is a great place to stay if you're just passing through or you're a very low-maintenance kind of person who wants a bed and quiet. The staff was nice and accommodating. It is a bit hidden from the main street, but it's very quiet. The rooms are simple, which I love! I will definitely stay here again!

It started when we got an email saying that we would need to check into another property and not at the hotel we were staying at. So we went to the other property and there was no one there, just a hand written note to call someone. So we did and checked into the other hotel. There was a car that looked like someone was living in, and a family checking out. We went to our hotel and there was no one there at all. No one else was staying in the hotel. Then we see the car had followed us to this location, he apparently was the handy man. The room did not even have a privacy lock and could be entered with just a key. I found no information about wifi and so we called to get it, literally no one knew what the passcode was. At that point we left and found another place to stay.

Worst experience in Motels/Hotels
We booked this motel and arrived at the location at 6:30 p.m. The place was dark not a single car in the parking lot and the sign NO VACANCY lit the office/reception closed. we called and nobody answered.

We are very sorry you were not able to stay with us. You were our only guest arriving that Sunday and when your Credit card was declined we shut down early. We have added to our policy to call and confirm our guest. We hope you give us another chance.

I try never to leave a bad review but... Small amount of toilet paper left on roll with an already used roll on the back of the toilet; no soap whatsoever! Towel bar loosely hanging on wall and bath cloths and towels left on kitchen table. Disposable blanket/sheets, wth???

This is an older, well maintained motel away from the main highway. It's in a quiet, safe neighborhood, easy to see the mountains and the stars. A manager lives on site. Very friendly folks!

Need repair
Faucet handle broken, one lamp not working no bulb. Heater not working. Floor dusty. Toilet bowl need to be replaced. A young man knocked on our door and looking for a female who occupied our room before us.

Hidden motel
I arrived about 7pm and knew to check in at The Trees Motel thanks to the previous emails I received. I was greeted by Christine (sorry if I got your name wrong) who was very friendly. Check in was easy and she even drove over with me to the motel. The room was comfortable and clean. Very quiet and a little off the main street so no traffic noise. I travel with my dog and this motel was pet friendly. I would stay here again.

Not Fancy, Not Very Clean, Good Price!
The place was not clean, the room smelled bad. The key had to be picked up at another Motel a few blocks from the place. But I am thankful for the receptionist who sent a person to clean. The guy had a great attitud and left the room smelling really good!! The property is old, but the people working there were really nice and I am thankful for their cooperation.

It was quiet. The toilet was dirty. Had to buy cleaning product. The sink piping leaked. No wash cloths.

It did the job.
It was fine. Room had a funny smell. Went and bought an air freshener which helped. It did the job. Just needed to sleep. Nothing fancy.

When we arrived at the location, office was closed, and we had to find a office in another hotel to complete check in. Booking was not refundable , and we just gave up and decide to return to home instead. The property and location, we were not feeling safe . We just lost our money.

We are very sorry you were unhappy. The area is safe. We have a family of 5 that live on the property and my 80 year old mum lives just up the street. The El Rancho office is .5 mile from Trees our sister motel. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Interesting stay
I had to go to the sister property to check in which was less than a mile down the road. The unit I was staying in was not attached to the actual hotel, but instead was on the other side of someone’s home. There was a broken chair on the porch along with two random golf clubs and two small trash cans that one would assume should be inside the room. There were used antifreeze containers outside in the small yard along with other trash. The floors were absolutely filthy so where shoes or socks you don’t care about after your shower (you’ll thank me later). I will admit that it was rustic cuteness and the lady who checked me in was very sweet. Also, the “pullout sofa” was indeed not a sofa, but was a day bed with a pull out trundle.

Cet hôtel est une blague. Pour 90 €, vous avez un truc dégueulasse. Un vrai foutoir. Si tu es dans un coin très sombre de la ville. Attention, si vous réserver cette hôtel, vous risquez de vous retrouver devant l’accueil avec personne. Juste un mot vous disant qu’il faut vous rendre dans un autre hôtel pour récupérer les clés. Vous n’allez pas être déçu par l’accueil… Je précise que pendant tout mon séjour, il n’y avait personne à l’office. Aucun problème. Démerdez-vous. La seule chose qui reste de sympa dans cette hôtel, c’est l’enseigne… Tout le reste est à fuir

Maybe next time you're in the area you can try the charming bakery right on the end of the street called the Great Basin that offers vegan baked goods. There's also a lovely coffee shop across from them. Hope you give us a second chance. Take care.

Average at best
It start by needing to check in at another motel because of staffing issues. At 4:00, the room wasn't ready as repairs needed to be done. After a couple of hours we went to the room and repairs still weren't even started. In fact, they never repaired the broken headboard during the 3 days we were there. Day two, the room wasn't cleaned. The next, we saw the maid and she said we weren't on the list for room cleaning. Although, she did get the room cleaned for us. Other than that, the room was average and the stay wasn't bad but wasn't anything to bring me back either.

Overall a good value, but I do not like staying at a facility with no staff on hand for questions or support. No breakfast is a disappointment.

Only a block from US 395 and the excellent Great Basin Bakery. Kitchen unit had working stove and full-sized fridge but poorly stocked with minimal cooking utensils.

You must see it in person first . Very hard to make communication to get inside. There is no one at the site. The online photos are very deceiving, I would recommend you see this live before paying for reservation. My reservation was non-refundable and after viewing I stayed at another hotel even though they would not refund my payment 1 hr. after booking.

surprisingly good for the low budge
The motel room has everything: 2 comfortable beds, AC (a bit loud), a small fridge, coffee maker, a small microwave. Shower has good water pressure. Quite clean. Convenient. Good price. The only downside is the thin walls, so it's a bit noisy.

Small, quaint, older motel. Good value. Safe area. Good parking. Next to Great Basin Bakery. Walking distance to all of downtown Bishop. Ate dinner at Pizza Factory.

A very quiet location and the room was clean and neat. The chairs were wood and not too comfortable for reading, but a cloth reading chair would be nice. The bathroom door needs some attention as it doesn’t swing closed well and jams.

These adorable motel are why I often visit Bishop
These little rustic motels are my very favorite places to stay. Room was perfect for a single person, two people may have been tight. Loads of pillows and soft bedding. Tiny bathroom, but with quaint character. My favorite part of the room was the ceiling fan!!!!!!!! Wi-Fi was slow so don’t take work there ! No special amenities but I don’t need them or like paying for them :) the room did have a fridge and microwave and nice shower products. It was walking distance to all the main Bishop shops.
