"Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The hospitality is genuinely wonderful, but there are a few significant drawbacks regarding the facilities that future guests should be aware of. The Good: Dining: The food is fabulous. The restaurant serves up lovely, traditional pub grub, and the breakfast was excellent. Staff: The team here is great—highly attentive, genuinely customer-focused, and eager to help. Decor: Our room was very pleasantly decorated and looked nice upon arrival. There are lots of stairs to access most of the bedrooms and absolutely no lift. Most frustratingly, there was no warning about this in the booking description, which is unfair to those with mobility issues. Room Temperature & Odour The rooms are incredibly hot with no air-conditioning, and the windows only open slightly. We were given a pedestal fan, but it honestly didn't help. This heat and lack of air circulation seemed to cause a rather unpleasant, stale odor (almost like body odor) that hits you right after the first flight of stairs. Safety/Lighting: Our room completely lacked bedside lights. Navigating an unfamiliar room layout in the pitch black to get into bed or use the bathroom during the night is a genuine health and safety hazard. Despite booking a twin/double room for two people, we were only provided with a single bath towel, one hand towel, and one bath mat. We stayed for two nights and no clean towels were provided at all, wh"

"Parts of the Hotel needs refurbishment. The room we stayed in was adequate, comfy beds, although they need to change the pillows, two on each bed were flat. Bedding was clean white cotton sheets and towels were clean but a bit frayed. The shower in the bathroom had mould around the sealant. Tea and coffee facilities available in room but no option for Decaf. The staff were lovely, helpful at booking in and we booked a table to eat there on the evening. The food was excellent. This is a budget hotel so don’t have high expectations and you will have a good stay."
