“The beautiful setting and views of the river Severn were wonderful. The staff were always extremely helpful and welcoming. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts and evening meals were of very good quality. It was our first visit to Shropshire and we would certainly come back to the Riverside Inn which was perfectly situated for day trips to Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and David Austin Roses, among other places.”
“The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. “The room we had was super charming and had everything we could possibly need. I got the best night’s sleep of my entire trip while we were there. I would most definitely stay there again if I were in the area again.”
“The hotel is spotlessly clean, staff very friendly and give good advice of the area. It is a lovely walk into the town too.
The food was exceptional everything of choice you could possibly wish for.”
“The staff were fabulous, both leading up to our stay when they helped me with some surprises for my friend, and during our stay when nothing was too much trouble!
I was able to order an extra package of fizz and flowers, which were placed in one of our rooms upon arrival, together with the banner that I sent ahead. THANKS”
“It was good value, but over the bridge from the town centre and another 8 minutes walk. Breakfast was generous, but the time had to be pre- booked at reception Room was a slim 1st floor challet.During restaurant hours you hear the clatter of saucepans and drone of exaust fans. Not a problem if your heading out for the day / evening.”
