Super 8 by Wyndham Bridgeview of Mackinaw City

10/10 Excellent

"We loved our stay at Super 8 Bridge in Mackinaw City. Our room was well-appointed. We had a closed in balcony with two comfortable stuffed chairs, so we could view the Mackinaw Bridge in the night without bugs bothering us in excellent seating. The chairs were also put to use during the night when we moved to sleep in them and watch the sun rise. This was room 305, which is just over the main entrance. Other rooms had open balconies. Our three night stay included one night we watched a thunderstorm roll through the UP/St Ignace area, one night with lots of dense fog hanging on the Straits of Mackinaw, so our view was of the Bridge fading into nothingness, and one night that was overcast, however the Bridge was still visible. Our room's bathroom had no scratches on the side moldings and the tub was spotless. The toilet flushed completely each time we used it. The fan was noisier and could use some maintenance, but it was only on when we were in the bathroom so it did not disturb sleep or leisure time in the room. The beds had woodsy headboards and a side table and chairs matched it with a woodsy look, as did the end table between the bed and a dresser. It was a leisurely walk to Fort Michilimackinac on the mainland and to the public beach by the Bridge. Food was within a couple blocks and it is easy and safe to walk to the main tourist areas or ferries to Mackinaw Island from this hotel, if you are a walker. Definitely will stay here again next time!"

"We were extremely happy with our stay. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, the view was amazing, the staff was friendly, the pool Was warm, hot tub was relaxing, the beach was clean, and everything was within walking distance. Loved it. Only thing we wished we had was a microwave. Past that exceeded expectations. We hope to stay there again in the future❤️"

"Location, location, location. Walking distance to ferry and town great. Fireworks just off our balcony was awesome. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was just okay. A lot of people to feed in a 2 hour window. Very Long lines. I was not sure everyone in line was staying at the hotel."

"The Cedar Hill Lodge was great for our party of 5 people for a one night stay. We were wanting a place to stay after crossing the Mackinac Bridge. This was a lovely newly renovated resort with lots of amenities. We stayed in room 252 which was in the Spruce building. We had the room with multiple beds and a balcony. The room was large, comfortable, clean, and worked perfect for us! The bathroom was clean and in good condition. The sink is outside of the bathroom which was very convenient for us having a large group. The kids enjoyed the pool which was open until 11 pm which made it available a long time to have fun! The location of the property was the best part! Close to Straits State park, Clyde’s’ Drive and many other shops and overall great location! We will definitely stay again when traveling through the area."

"This is a beautiful, historic property- very walkable location- welcoming staff. Our rooms were the least expensive and thus very small- including the bed being so cramped that I hit the side table through out the night. We really appreciated that the Porter met us at the Ferry and took our bags to our room so we could explore Mackinac. I would stay again- but would upgrade to a larger room. Breakfast was coffee, juice, muffins, yogurt, sysco hard boiled eggs, toast, bagels - nothing fancy- but enough to tide you over until lunch - cookies when we checked in were a nice touch."
