Bolivar Heights Scenic Overlook Tours

The location of the HIVE is perfect if you are visiting GW. You can park your car, and simply pick it up when you are leaving town. The rooms are small but stylish and simply appointed. Love the overall style of the hotel. Will plan on staying again.

Nice spot- stayed here during a business trip. pros: comfy beds good pillows, lots of different lighting options, decent water pressure and a Mini fridge in the room and the temperature was comfortable. Cons: I was confused about the breakfast (it comes with some stay and not others but it was never offered as an option at check in and no explanation). Not sure what the extra $70 “resort” fee is for as I don’t believe there are any “resort” style amenities.I had to hunt down the ice machine (it’s on the 2nd floor btw). Could use a little spot to purchase snacks/soda/water, etc… since there’s no room service. Wanted to order from the restaurant downstairs but there were no menus or contacts in the room so I ordered door dash. Overall, I had a good stay, there’s just a few details and some clarification from the staff at check in, that I believe would have made it better.

We checked in on July 1st and noticed AC was not cooling. Called the front desk and they said they will send someone to reset and no one came. The temperature outside was 102. By the time they offered to change the room we were already in bed. We said we can change the room next morning. They sent a small table fan. Next morning one Engineer was supposed to come and check and they said they couldn’t get in because of the sign. We have gone out for sightseeing. When we got back room was hot.we complained and we had to move our things three times to three different rooms since some of them had no safe no fridge. Finally we settled for a room without fridge. I request you to refund our first night charges since there was no AC. Hope you understand. Thanks Anand Ramachandran
