โWhat a perfect place to stay in York.
A very easy stroll into York City. Everything you could want in a stay. Breakfast was very generous. And laundry dervice provided on request.โ
โI stayed here a long time ago when it was in soft-opening mode. I didn't know there were newer additions to the hotel, and I wish I'd known to book a room in main building with high ceiling.โ
โWhat a lovely little guest house within walking distance to York city centre. Danielle was a lovely host who made sure everything was in order for us. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and the fact that parking is included makes this place good value for money. The only thing worth noting is that the loft room is up 3 sets of stairs (the last one being a little steep) so bear that in mind if you have luggage or if you plan on doing the climb up the York Cathedral Tower tour...
โWe had a fantastic stay at The Vanguard in York. Set in a residential area, itโs a well-located base just a 15โ20 minute stroll from the cityโs main attractions.
The interior was spotless, modern and well-equipped. Self check-in was easy, and communication via WhatsApp was smooth and efficient. The manager was responsive and went out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay โ including arranging parking (on-street or off-street) and a late check-out that made our final day much...
โGreat place to stay close to the city but far enough out to be quiet. Staff were all fantastic and so friendly. Breakfast was amazing. Only concern although itโs not a huge issue the trains were a little noisy but didnโt really disturb me but if thatโs an issue for you take ear plugs โ

โComfortable rooms above historic pub very close to everything in the York downtown. Great breakfast (with lots of good choices) & large nicely landscaped beer garden connected to the pub.โ
โThe hotel was clean and conveniently located (about a 10 min walk from the railway station). It isnt super close to the city center (about 20 min), but the walk isnโt too strenous (no hills!). Would recommend.โ
