아늑하고 조용한 바닷가
조용하고 아늑한 바닷가에 위치하여 편안한 휴식을 취할 수 있어 좋음. 다만 가는 길이 험하고 새벽 안개가 짙어서 운전하기 어려움.

Near to the view point of puffin watching. Staff is very warm, and provide hot water and tea to customers. Room is very clean.

Ok guesthouse and the only one in town
This was our least favorite hotel during our 16 day trip. It might be the only option I town though so it’s good considering that. The rooms only have small portable heaters. The listing says there was a laundry room but it is not the case. The hotel offers laundry service but you cannot make your own laundry. Since we were counting on it, we gave them a bag of clothes anything for them to do our laundry. When they returned it at about 11pm it was still wet so we had to hang everything all across the room and bathroom. Not ideal. On top of that they lost 2 expensive wool socks (not even from the same pair). Don’t count on this place for your laundry like we did.

Below expectations
Breakfast is good, and the staff are friendly, but the layout of the room can be improved: 1. It is hard to find how to control the heater, as a result of that, we felt hot in the room all night. 2. The toilet is small, especially the sink is too small and inconvenient to use. 3. There is no TV in the room. As a matter of fact, it ifs the first time I met in Iceland.

The hotel is a slightly older hotel, so the furnishings and building are on the older side but nevertheless very clean. They offer a standard Icelandic/Nordic breakfast in the morning before 9am. The location is the main selling point truly is the proximity to the puffin nests, which are approximately 10min away on the other side of the village by car.

It was wonderful having our own bathroom at this hotel, and the breakfast was outstanding. We would stay here again.

We got warm reception from the owner. Since we were very late after viewing the puffins, he allowed us to make a simple meal for ourselves in the breakfast area. The room is comfy and the breakfast was very nice. Thanks.

The staff was very friendly and kind. One of the most kind people we’ve met anywhere in Iceland. Place was quiet and secluded and super close yo prime puffin viewing area

Nice place.
Nice place, good for viewing puffins nearby. Breakfast was o.k but most things where empty when we arrived (8:30).

Cozy and Friendly Place!
The hotel provided flexibility to split into another room. We arrived around dinner time and they had a delicious fish stew buffet with lots of veggies and a salad. The staff were all super friendly. The breakfast was also very hearty and they provided baggies in case you wanted to pack a light sandy snack for when you are exploring the area. A very cozy family feel, great for large groups!

Recommend Overall
I have mixed, but overall positive, impressions of this lodging. We were disappointed after a long drive to not be able to check in until >1-1/2 hours after the time advertised, but understand that there were special circumstances for that day. We were also disappointed to find that wifi didn't reach our room; staff did offer to change our room, but our room (in the first red building) was significantly roomier, had more character, and overall seemed "nicer" than the alternative one showed to us in the main building. We did dine in the restaurant for their buffet and really enjoyed the variety and quality of what was offered. We also very much appreciated that the staff were willing to do a load of laundry for us, as that was a challenge during most of our trip. So, overall I do recommend this lodge, and its food, in this sweet little out-of-the-way town.

Excellent off the beaten track location. Spectacular drive to get there. Clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff. And a very nice restaurant.

Für eine Nacht ok und recht teuer, da keine Altern
Das Zimmer hatte eine Elektroheizung, zwei Betten, einen Schrank und zwei Nachtische, also sehr kargund befand sich in einem Gang mit mehreren Zimmern. Glücklicherweise warendieanderen Gäste recht leise, sonst hätteman viel gehört. Frühstück war in einem Saal und es gab das Notwendige:Getränke, Käse, Wurst, EinerKuchen, oatmeal und pancakes.

My husband and I loved staying here for 3 nights. Our room was cozy, clean and warm. I love that it is located at the edge of town and the surrounding views are amazing, but it is still close enough to walk into town, so you get the best of both worlds. I loved how you could get coffee and tea any time of day, and that there was a place to connect to wifi if we needed it. The only thing we weren't crazy about was that the breakfast offered was the same every day.

Changement de chambre suite problème avec un groupe. Le personnel s’est excusé et a proposé de rembourser la chambre, ce que nous avons refusé car ils ont fait leur possible pour que nous attendions le moins possible.

Es gab für uns eine kompetente Einführung in die örtlichen Gegebenheiten von Borgafjördur Estri durch eine sehr sympathische Mitarbeiterin. Man nahm sich sehr viel Zeit für uns! Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und komfortabel. Es ist sehr familienfreundlich. Besonders loben möchte ich den Hotelchef, der sich für uns bei unserer Weiterreise nach Egilsstadir, da wir vom örtlichen Busunternehmer leider vergessen wurden, unterstützt hatte. Es gibt immer einen Weg, sagte er und handelte danach! Danke! Unser Weg wird uns sicher noch einmal in dieses sehr schön inmitten eines Paradies für Wanderer gelegene Hotel führen.
