“The Tranquil House was a lovely place to stay while visiting the Boston area. The house is in a good location just a short walk from a bus station. The host was super kind and helpful and the space felt very welcoming. We initially planned to stay for only one night but ended up extending to two because we liked it so much (and wanted more time in Boston). We would highly recommend staying here!”

“Extremely unsafe and frustrating experience. I would not stay here again. From the beginning, this stay was a mess. I was never sent the login/access information I needed to get into my room, and the phone number provided for assistance did not work. When I tried to check in early, I was told I needed to pay an additional $35 directly to them, outside of the booking platform, including being sent options like Zelle/Cash App. I declined and waited until my actual 7 PM check-in time...

“Never ever book this dump. We couldn’t contact the owner to get in to the place . No reply to days of messages. Some of the residents let us into the property but we didn’t know what rooms were ours and we didn’t have codes to get in. The place was dirty . I have never seen an airb&b as bad as this . The stair carpet was rotten ,the stair had expanding foam blocking the mouse or rat holes.we saw 2 rats scurry under the front door porch. The place was so bad ,if you had a shower ,you would come...

“Excellent! Super easy access and check-in/check-out process and quick communication. Buildings and rooms are impeccable and gorgeously decorated in historic fashion. Comfy king bed in the Rajah room, beautiful clawfoot tub or a separate shower, and the main house was amazing as well. Great continental breakfast options”

“We miss the microwave the Inn used to have in the rooms. ‘Great having the cafe in the facility ~ wonderful breakfast! ~ but it used to be included in the room fee. :( Wonderful shower!! :) Bathroom could use a small shelf for guests’ toiletries. Always look forward to staying here but wish the rates hadn’t gone up so severely from one owner to the next. Inn is nice and close to great dinner restaurant (Choate Bridge) - very convenient!!”
