"Front Staff were helpful. Security helped me make my plans and get the good taxis. The building is older, no bells and whistles. Cant tell if its dingy because its old Or dingy because it isnt clean. Location is ideal, near to port and near to airport and reasonably close to Emerald Beach (by taxi for a couple of bucks). Also behind a gate with security, in case you need t9 feel the added security (I didnt). Walking distance to local grocery store AND shops for your travel shopping. Dont book if you re looking for luxury stay."

"Hotel staff gave us great recommendations for local restaurants off the beaten path, the view from our room patio was perfect every morning with palm trees, ocean waves and sunshine. Being right on the beach for our honeymoon was our favorite part of the stay! We absolutely loved our stay there—perfect size and amenities for us."

"Location was nice overlooking the harbor. Room was not clean. Told front desk staff and management and nothing was done about it. Long stringy blonde hair everywhere in showers on floor on covers. Toilet area not clean. No phone is room and management didn’t know why."

"Stayed here with a friend and i will rate it a 7/10 .. cleanliness could be a better with receiving a semi dirty room. .. from my knowledge there’s no big breakfast but they provided muffins , coffee and lemon water . .. there’s a bar that’s supposed to open at 3 but it can opened at later times depending on the workers (the latest 6:45) and it closes at 9 .. staff was very nice , upgraded my room & places I can go near for either food/ toiletries or nightlife. I love the view with my balcony ocean view room! I most definitely will stay at this hotel again the next time i visit , i will just be more prepared. "

"Room 304 has commen balkoney just outside room - narrow sliding door in between. 2 feet between bed and seating in this commen balkoney. This giving curtains must be closed for pricicy giving no natural light or view outside view from room. In relation to price unacceptable. No price reduction offered or excuse given when we put forward the issue. Refrigerator and coffe machine but no cups, classes, butteled water or other nesseseries available."

"What a tropical paradise! We were blown away by Hideaway! If you are looking for a private, family or couple getaway, this is the best place around! The simplicity might be a little less than what some want, but the stay met every one of our needs. The environment was beautiful and the beach was our favorite on the island! Little touches everywhere were not overlooked by my family. "

"The view is incredible. That is the last of my compliments. Hot water ran out after about 6 minutes. The power on the island went out almost every night which is terrible for someone who has to use a CPAP to sleep. It seemed as though all of the units around us had generators. If we had one it was never brought to our attention. We had no way to exit the compound because the gate would only open from the outside. This could be an issue if there is an emergency and you can't get out. We could only exit the gate by standing around and waiting for a car to enter. Another resident told us we should have been given a key fob to open the gate but the host said he had never heard of such a thing. He told us the gate should open by a sensor when you walked up to it but this was not the case. I tried with both the entrance and exit. St. Thomas is a beautiful island with a lot to offer. Find somewhere else to stay. "
