“This hotel is actually student housing at local university that is sold to out of town visitors. It is considerably cheaper than other options out there and is was fully booked when I tried to get a room few days later. Hotel building is separated from the building where reception is located and it requires bit of a walk to get to your building/room. No TV in the room but only a single bed and a desk, a table, a safe and a bathroom attached. Therefore this accommodation is for single traveler...

“My friend and I had a wonderfully relaxing and quiet time at Up the Creek. We were the only ones there for two days, so we picked a great time to go! They have a fully kitted kitchen with everything avaialble to cook up your meals. We took all our own food so our two days away from the city was super inexpensive. We spent time relaxing by the fire, knitting and reading, or out walking the local area. This place is very clean. 7 minute walk (downhill) to the ocean front (bit of an incline to walk...

“Absolutely stoked about how this hostel turned out. So clean and tidy. The private room I stayed it was nice and spacey with room to move around and dry my clothes for the next day of skiing. Bathrooms were so clean and convenient. Would happily stay here again, especially for the low cost! ”

“I do not know about the property but about Expedia. The property has changed owner and my Expedia reservation was useless; no room available. The link "send a message to the property" links to an email of a store located in the same building, with no relation to the hostel. Pity the hostel has not a reservation page, for Expedia was useless to me.”

“I saw many cockroaches more then i have ever seen so far in this building. While talking a shower, one cockroach was on my right foot. I couldn’t concentrate on sleeping coz of fear of facing cockroaches. However the staff was so kind and tried to fix the problems such as spraying the bug killer :) The staff and location were the only merit staying here. ”
