Location is nice, everything else not so good
The furniture is outdated, the rooms have smoke smell, the shower is rusted on some of the rooms. The breakfast is pretty bad - not too much diversity, coffee is average. The hotel has a great location and good parking, if they would renovate it would be a very good hotel. The receptionist was ok, but he was not aware if there are any water boiling facilities in the room or not.

J'ai aimé la chambre spacieuse et le balcon avec vue sur le parc et le lac. Le restaurant est excellent mais il y a trop d'attente pour commander et entre les plats.

Zimmer geräumig und Bett sehr bequem. Frühstücksbuffet vielseitig. Lage im Herastrau-Park hat den Vorteil, dass es sehr ruhig und trotzdem nahe am Flughafen Otopeni ist. Uber in die Altstadt max.10 Min. und umgerechnet CH3.50. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal (der Enkel des Besitzers hat uns mal kurz und einfach so schnell in die Stadt gebracht weil grad kein Uber verfügbar war!) Highly recommended

Amazing location in Herastrau Park by the lake
The best thing about this hotel is its amazing location, in the middle of the park, very close to the clubs and the restaurants by the river. The staff was really nice, helpful and polite. Breakfast was nice and good value for money. I recommend it! The rooms are very spacious (we ordered one with a balcony and it was worth it as the weather was lovely and it was great spending the evening on the balcony). Totally recommend this hotel!

Beautiful surrounding in the city.
This is possibly the best hotel I have stayed in while in Romania. The staff was very friendly. The property was clean. The room was clean, warm, comfortable. The water was hot and the shower DIDN'T leak. The restaurant had good service and good food. The prices at the restaurant were commensurate with the service and food. Highly recommend this hotel and plan to go back.

the room was gorgeous! had a nice big balcony, room was very clean and spacious. the hotel is located by the lake, so I was able to go for a nice jog in the morning.

Business and Pleasure
Location location, Location! Herastrau Complex sits on Herastrau Lake, the largest in Bucharest. The rooms are large, clean and some even have a balcony. The breakfast has everything you could possibly want and the dinner portions are quite large. They are currently doing renovations, but this does not impinge on your stay. Spring and Summer this is where you want to be.

Terrible sewerage odour upon entering the room, which in fairness dissipated after leaving the outer door open for 30 minutes or so. We had a double room but they gave us a single duvet. Found a couple of plates of food loitering at the top of a flight of stairs, one of which stayed there for three days next to a fire door propped open with a fire extinguisher. Quite a drab experience.

Bucharest in the Park & nice area
Very confortable hotel . Huge area inside herastrau Park. News the lake where you Can Walk or take a drink. Lots of restaurant and club. Very safe, clean, highly recomended. Only negative : you need a carico to reach metro.

That was a great place with nice breakfast and frendly staff but the couple of things distroyed our impression: the night club nearby ran with loud music overnight from 06.00 PM untill 05.30 AM.No power sockets available even for hair dryer, no hooks for towels.

Nice quote place
This hotel is a nice place and fairly close to the center. It's real appeal is that it's right in the middle of the park. Super quite. It's certainly not 5 stars but it is clean and people are nice. I would recommend it.

New, Clean and Peaceful.
This hotel was very nice. The whole hotel felt brand new, with the wonderful smell of new carpets and furniture. Our room was very clean and very comfortable. Wonderful restaurant on the lake, with delicious food! Being on the lake meant the hotel was very peaceful. We walked around the whole lake to the heritage museum, it was a long but nice walk. It was a little tricky to find. Follow signs for "Complex Herastrau" and when you are in the complex the hotel is sign posted.

Very good.
I enjoyed my brief stay at the hotel Herastrau. The best part of the hotel is its location and surroundings along the river. The only down side in my view was the staff at the adjoining restaurant, who were not very friendly.

The 7% discount on meals at the hotel restaurant is at the waiter discretion. Meal quality 3 out of 5. A/C not working and no lift in the building so had to carry all luggage down the stairs.

Goed ontvangen, prettig verblijf en lekker getafeld. Douche kan wel een schoonmaak gebruiken omdat her en der schimmelvorming was vast te stellen. Afrekening is in RON met een exchange rate die 20% ongunstiger is dan de markt, waardoor de kamer 20% duurder wordt. Verder een prima verblijf en een mooie grote kamer.

Good Value for Money
The location of this hotel is unique. Being in a park next to a lake it seems to be out in the country but the nearest metro station is a 20 minute walk away and in another 10 minutes you are down town. We liked the spacious room and the beds with very comfortable mattresses. The shower needed some repair with a rusty base. The carpet in the hallway and to the basement breakfast room was badly stained. The friendly reception staff helped with all our questions. Obviously it was very quiet and our car was parked safely just outside the door. The breakfast was better on day 2 than on day 1, in any case there is enough to get you going. We recommend this hotel. It is good value for money.

The area around the hotel was really nice, with the lake and paths. We ate at the restaurant and absolutely loved it! They were doing construction on the outside of the Hotel and it was very loud, unfortunately right at the same time we were hoping to take a nap from our busy day. And the entire Hotel smelled like smoke, even our "non-smoking" room, which was a bummer.

Un séjour de repos dans cadre verdoyant au fond du parc et bord du lac. En été ce doit encore meilleur avec les terrasses qu'il y a autour du lac.

Close to airport, once found!! Value absolutely superb. One of the best hotel rooms stayed in within Bulgaria/Romania.
