“Cheap is the word here. Everything looked cheap. Thin, lightweight bedding. You could hardly call it a blanket. The floor was cold tile throughout. The lighting was inadequate. The bathroom was so tiny they had to put the washbowl and linens out in the general area. There was only one washcloth. The bathroom door had been broken on the bottom and poorly repaired. l don't know what the breakfast was like, or if there even was one, because I got out of there the moment day broke in the morning. “Best hotel experience I've ever had. My wife and i had never been here before and assumed we were just in one of the rooms at the top of the hill. Definitely not expecting a full cabin! The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful with telling us good areas to see eagles, seals, and just other things to check out. We loved it so much we re booked for our anniversary in June and we are super excited to come back! I whole heartedly recommend this place!”

“Wonderful stay at a lovely historic property. The room was very nice with a view of Penobscot Bay. The hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable about the local history and community.”

“The Atlantic Coast is an older motel, but very well kept and clean. They leave you two water bottles, two cans of soda and two bags of chips-which is a nice touch. They have an Indian restaurant on the premises that is very popular with the locals. The only downside is that they do not staff the front office. However they are very responsive in terms of delivering ice, etc if you text them. A very good value if you want a place to base yourself in and then drive the half hour to Bar Harbor.”
