"The property met our needs well. They gave excellent communication about our arrival questions eforehand. Things to be aware. It's down a very long drive so best use sat nav to locate the turning. There isn't a bar as far as we could tell. More guest house than hotel, which is fine. Its minimally staffed at the front desk so best to call ahead if youre arriving late. Bed was comfortable but the wooden frame projects at the corners and both myself and my wife bashed our shins! A word of warning at check-in woukd have been appreciated. Very good breakfast. The Jack in the Green gastro-pub is a very short drive away of you want an excellent dinner."

"Thought I’d booked a lodge git a room did get refunded a night. Had to spend a day killing time as I was given a room key with guests still in it so instead of relaxing in a front room I had to explore the area with my partner who’s just miscarried!!! Hence wanting a lodge then was told I had an upgraded room but it was twin beds put together and we were falling through the middle the staff were amazing but disappointed is an understatement and no where near compensated respectfully and was made to just accept it never ever again considering what I’d heard about the place the weekend and my partners recovery was beyond ruined"

"I had a lovely room, I was surprised breakfast wasn’t included/offered. Staff were friendly but I couldn’t get internet which may have been just me. I was on my own and wanted to plan my next day, couldn’t even get 4G. Not even in the bar. Young lady said it was a bad area??!! Plenty parking and lots of people eating so food must be good. I just had (a very small) portion of chips. "
