A few of us used the facility for a sporting event in Calgary. The property and its location was superb. Its proximity to the sky train was marvelous. Breakfast was very satisfactory, and the place was quite clean. Would book it again.

This was budget accommodation but the property was in such a poor state of repair and despite reporting faults no action was taken to remedy the issues. The temperature overnight in Calgary was -21C and our room heating failed. We slept fully clothed as the room temperature fell to below 10C. At just after 7 a.m. we reported the problem. The response was that a note would be made for the maintenance team . There was no offer to supply alternative portable heaters or any suggestion that the issue would be treated with urgency. Our door card stopped working while we stood outside in temperatures of -17C and the staff showed little interest in our discomfort. We had to ask for someone to let us into our room with a master key. We reported other faults on the first morning and these faults remained uncorrected three days later. There are better places to stay within a few hundred metres of the Econolodge and we would strongly advise everyone to go elsewhere.

Not our best choice
Not what we expected, low rate room. No slip guards available in shower. Not sure why but we were “banished” to an older separate building thing is I don’t think they were fully booked. On the positive side, very quiet area at least the Saturday night we spent there. Probably pay a little more and stay somewhere elese in the future.
