Dear John,Thank you for staying with us. Our inn is located just 3/4 of a mile from the village center and the busy waterfront. Many guests prefer to avoid the hassle of parking in the village, leaving their cars at the inn and strolling down to the waterfront.

Dear Stephanie,I'm sorry that you weren't satisfied with your visit. In fairness, though, I need to clarify a few points you've raised. We are a dog-friendly hotel, however we have only 8 rooms that are pet-friendly. You booked through Hotels.com and they do not have access to our pet rooms, nor do they notify us of your pet room request. That is why all guests receive a confirmation email which states that you are not in a pet room; if you require one, the notice says, please call us to make that pet room assignment. There is nothing demanding or threatening in that notice. Guests who bring a pet into a non-pet room without permission are charged a fee, as we then have to deep-clean the room. Many guests have allergies, and we do our best to provide an allergen-free experience.If you truly have a service dog, then you know that you are exempt from pet room requirements, including requests to not allow pets on the furniture. We do provide dog beds, food and water bowls, and a welcoming dog treat.You were not charged a 50 fee. As we explained when you checked in, we did authorize a 50 incidentals fee...that authorization automatically drops off your credit card when you check out.I don't doubt that you tried to call our office, and possibly at a time when we were helping other guests. However, you did not leave a message so that we might have returned your call.As for the pass-through rooms, each side has a one-sided door knob, that is always locked. You can open the door from your room, but you couldn't get in the room next to you unless that guest opens that door for you.I'm sorry that the ambient light bothered you. However, the outside porch light next to your door can be turned on or off with the light switch under the light. There are no parking lot lights.We take our guests comfort very seriously. I wish that during your two-night stay with us, you would have brought these matters to our attention so that we could have addressed your concerns.
