โExcellent check in by Matt, enabled us to check in early and took all our bags up to the room for us. Room was clean and comfortable and we couldn't hear any noise from the bar downstairs. Excellent location opposite the train station and all local amenities on the doorstop.
Unfortunately the live act that was on was singing IRA Support songs and when my partner objected and complained we were asked to leave the bar. The singer did admit that he was wrong and had caused us being told to leaveโ
โA lovely cottage in a great location. The cottage has everything you need and the bedrooms are a good size too. There are several uneven, steep steps walking up to the cottage so I wouldnโt recommend it to people who are unsteady on their feet. The owners left some biscuits and milk on the fridge which was a nice gesture. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again in the future when visiting Whitby.โ
โAmazing location and friendly staff. Itโs going through a refurb and the lift is currently out of order but they warned us before hand and offered to help with luggage! The hotel is so quaint and the room was perfect for us (family room)! Our room had an amazing view of the abbey! Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. We had Sunday lunch in the restaurant and that was amazing!! 0% alcohol on tap which is amazing (Iโm alcohol free and normally stuck with bottles).Planning on many more trips...
โReturn visit like the area about 20-25 mins walk downhill to Whitby harbour area. Bus stop by school or Sainsburys minutes away.
Bedrooms clean and big for 2 people. Staff very friendly and helpful. Car parking free and if u forgot anything there is a sainsburys fee mins walk away
Breakfast has various choices to suit different appetite too and family friendly. Would return againโ
โVery close to Whitby swing bridge so handy for attractions, restaurants, coop 3 minute walk if want self catering. Newly renovated, very clean, lovely views.โ
โThoroughly enjoyed the stay we had in Whitby. Hotel is in an unmatched location, when we inevitable return in the future we will be placing the LilyRose hotel at the top of our list. โ
โAbsolutely lovely cottage, clean, cosy and in the perfect location.
We have had a great time. Very steep stairs inside the property and a fairly short bed so if you are super tall with mobility problems it might be difficult but for us it was perfect.โ
โThe room was great for our needs, very spacious with comfortable beds and a large bathroom. I was holidaying with my teenage granddaughter and the twin beds gave us plenty of room.
It was about a 10 minute walk to the harbour (anout 30 minutes to walk back, it's a very steep hill! Dont believe google maps that says mostly flat!)
There is a bus stop outside the hotel but we didn't use it. However, on our last evenung we had a taxi and it was ยฃ4.50.โ
โBeautiful apartment. Great location, fun to see the trains right by your window, excellent secure underground garage parking. Highly recommended. We also visited Eden Camp, Alpamare water park and had a walk up to Whitby Abbey. These were all fantastic locations to visit. Lovely part of the country.โ
โAbsolutely stunning place to stay in. Apartment was super clean and felt like it was brand new. Arrived to find flowers, coffe/tea, biscuits and the basic cleaning products already kindly provided. Location is nice and central and ideal to explore the local coastline. Really felt like a home from home. Will definitely use again and cannot recommend enough. โ
โModern, well fitted out apartment. Great to have an indoor car park. Watching the steam trains from the window was a bonus. I'm guessing though that the radiators will be well used in the cooler months.โ
