“Great location for getting around Whitby. Shame about lack of car parking. Shower drain in our room was prone to blocking. Concerned it might flood the downstairs. We did mention it to staff. Overall a pleasant stay. Might be an idea to mention the stairs leading to upper room as less mobile guests may struggle”

“La Rosa turned out to be the most unusual hotel we've ever stayed in. The location is excellent, the ground floor tea rooms barely used but tables perfect for board games and jigsaw puzzles. “lovely place, nice rooms and bathrooms. lovely sea view from high floor room although it is alot of stairs to walk up. Doors use a code to open which is easy to use. Top floor room did get quite hot and only had one small roof window to open, a fan would be a helpful addition in summer months”

“Brilliant location. Everything was in walking distance and the black information folder was invaluable. Whilst contact with Emma and Dave was through E- mails, ultimately there wasn't a problem because we didn't encounter any. Finally myself and wife found it to be excellent value for money.”

“Free parking in a smallish off road private parking area opposite. Check in was quick with very friendly and helpful staff. Room was a good size, clean, modern and with all the amenities you need. Breakfast was outstanding! All waitress served off a comprehensive menu in a well laid out dining room with attention to detail. This was primarily because the moment we arrived at the place we discovered the pets weren’t allowed anywhere beyond the ground floor and, if they were “well behaved” into the kitchen area. This accommodation can only be described as pet tolerant and not pet friendly.”

“Beautiful apartment. Great location, fun to see the trains right by your window, excellent secure underground garage parking. Highly recommended. We also visited Eden Camp, Alpamare water park and had a walk up to Whitby Abbey. These were all fantastic locations to visit. Lovely part of the country.”
