“Very central and lovely old hotel. A little tired in places but great staff. Disappointed that they only had the choice of one type of red wine which wasn’t great! They don’t service the rooms but you can get additional toilet roll and tea and coffee etc easily. Entertainment was good but only saw one night as problems with the equipment. So many gulls that my car was covered when parking outside. Value for money”

“Great location and well kept hotel. We stayed in a medium sea view room and had a great stay. The customer service was also very good. The only thing I would skip next time is the breakfast as it wasn’t to our liking. Will happily stay again. Parking is limited and very tight!”

I would also like to commend the night staff, who were exceptionally professional, understanding, and accommodating throughout our stay. However, our experience in Room 11 was deeply unsettling. During the night, my partner was abruptly woken and believed she had been physically touched, which caused her considerable distress. When we raised this with staff, we were informed that similar reports had been made...

“Gorgeous location. Big room with comfy bed and good bathroom. Cosy bar and we enjoyed a lovely meal. Nice walk into the tiny village for cafe and another pub. Good value. If you’re not a dog person it’s worth noting there were a lot of guests with dogs.”

“The room was up to standard. The lock on the door was old and not fit for purpose, the carpet in the room was dirty and had stains on it .every floor creaked when walked on so you could hear people waking by most of the night. Also the bed was uncomfortable.”
