Heartbroken

Worst hotel ever! An absolute dump! Pictures don’t match the place at all!!! Had to crawl over the drunk homeless man passed out on the stairs to get to get to our room….. had dirty blood stained sheets…. Not a single towel in the room… the smell is unfortunately still burnt in my nostrils… no drinking water as restaurant/bar was closed due to the flu… yes the whole place had the flu? Unfortunately was the room available around due to the Elvis festival and had to stay. This place should seriously be shut down!!!! I feel I need a slew of vaccines now! I won’t recommend this place to my worst enemy not even my mother in law!

After 50 years of universal travel I can confidentially say it was the worst place on earth that we have ever had the misfortune to frequent How Bookings.com can promote it is very disappointing to know. If we were to award points out of ten it would in the order of minus 14

Room 16 Brentwood hotel

Room was small but comfortable, very clean linen, clean bathroom, friendly staff, only issue was that the room location was close to the bar so that it was very noisy until late on the nights of bar music or karaoke. If you want an early quiet night don’t take room 16.

Good catch up with friends, shame about the hotel.

Stayed here on the recommendation of a friend, who later admitted he did so as a joke. The place is very tired and in need of a full refurb. Had to check in at the bar and pretty much find our own way to the room. The room itself was no better than the stairs and hallways leading up to it, with dirty, stained carpets and old worn looking bedding, we slept on top of the quilt. We didn't use the tea/coffee facilities after checking the kettle and cups for cleanliness. The bathroom wasn't any better, with previous occupants bodily hair on and around the toilet and the shower head held in place with insulation tape. To top it off, as we were leaving, the architrave above the door fell off and nearly hit me on the head. Think Faulty Towers and you'll get the idea, although FT looked clean to be fair. To finish on a positive note, I'm still speaking to my mate, but I'll get him back.

This hotel was appalling.Disgusting

Hotel disgusting.Room was appalling.Carpets stinking dirty.Mold in bathroom.It smelt.I would never recommend this to anyone.I took photos of the room as proof.

Hotel from hell

Arrived, kept us waiting to check in for half an hour with various excuses. The bathroom was dirty with used tampons in the bin, blood on the side of the toilet and scum in the bath. We asked for cleaner they never gave it to us. In the evening they played live music and then just very loud music until 12.30 keeping us up until gone 2am by the time all their rowdy and foul mouthed customers had gone home. There was no mention of this prior to arrival nor that the following night would be karaoke night. We had trained for a long cycling event for a year, totally ruined with lack of sleep and energy. I want a refund please. I believe I am entitled to this under the consumer act 2015 as the hotel has failed to keep up its part of the contract.

Delayed check in by 30 mins when check in is already as late as 4pm. The towels were tiny for each of us. Not even big enough for my 5 year old daughter. The beds were quite uncomfortable but adequate. The shower door didn’t shut properly. The room was quite spacious though and on the top floor.

DISGUSTING!!!

Absolutely awful! The rooms were not as expected, although the bedding and towels in one room were clean, they were not in the other room, room also smelt disgusting, we had to leave the window wide open for several hours to improve the smell. No breakfast or restaurant facilities were available. Cigarette butts dumped outside. Plus dirty plates and glasses, left lying around. Loud music till 2am, with people stood outside, smoking, drinking and generally causing a disturbance. Damaged drawers, and hole in room door, daughters felt unsafe, and had to sleep in our room.Neither carpet looked like it had been hoovered.Totally unacceptable. The fan in our bathroom did not work, the only redeeming feature was the showers worked, though the door stuck and it was about a ten inch step up and down into the shower. It was NOT at all suitable for a family. Complete disgrace. Photos are either very old or of maybe a few decent rooms, which we certainly did not have.TV screen cracked in twin room, when we eventually found someone to report it to, he more or less accused my daughters (aged 14) of causing the damage. NO one came to empty the bins during our stay, in the morning no one was about, so we had to go out and buy toilet rolls and spare tea bags. The public areas are dirty and not maintained. General public have access to the guest rooms. We were disappointed, if this is the standard of hotels you use, we will never book again. No email or number to complain to.
