โThe Thistle Inn was the perfect stop for the night. We were greeted by the owner and the room was cool and quiet. Exactly what we needed after a long drive.
Breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. Michelle is very pleasant and enjoyed talking about the area with great recommendations for other places to visit.โ
โStayed over for one night passing through on a cycling trip. The host was extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful storing and charging our bikes. Only open for B&B but fortunately the local tearoom opens on weekend evenings for meals. Well stocked community shop next door and community pub at the end of the street. Great village and area.โ

I was a little disappointed to see Haigh Whisky is no longer served. When we first stayed here, Barry introduced me to Haigh cocktails.
We will revisit when the hotel refurbishment is complete. โ

โWhat had a fabulous stay at Friars Carse. It is set in glorious surroundings, and the staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming. We staying in one of the cottages in the grounds and it was perfect in every way - clean, spacious, with all the furnishing in good order and of high quality. The food in the hotel was lovely, fresh, good portion size and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend and we are looking forward to a return visit! โ
