"This was a very nice place to stay and good value compared to the Cambridge area.
Very convenient if you wanted somewhere to leave the car near to Cambridge and planned on catching train (10 mins) into town (no use for local buses but not too far from a park and ride)
Modernish building and well maintained (seems to have been a Holiday Inn Express in a previous life)
Rooms a decent size with big comfortable bed and good shower.
Good range of choice at breakfast (better than similar contemporaries) with the usual slight caveats about turnovers at buffets.
All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful and seemed to enjoy being there.
Only one or 2 slight gripes…I think the B&B hotels in general seem a little understaffed - that’s definitely not a moan about the ones that were working!
£10 a night parking is irritating - but factored against the room cost isn’t horrendous.
Beware the non self closing bedroom and fire doors! Might only have been our room, but do check its shut behind you (we did raise it with the hotel)
More storage shelves please!!
Top tip: get your sat navs set up in advance as it’s a bit tucked away once you leave the main road behind a main car park, some industrial units and another hotel.
If you get the wrong side of the railway you’ll have to double back!"
