2nd timers....will stay here everytime

We had an awesome time at La Isla Resort. Centrally located to restaurant, bars, and attractions, beach across the street with chairs. LA isla had paddle boards for use. I highly recommend La Isla for your Caye Caulker stay.

Staff was great!! The beds however were hard as a rock. The room was huge. The location was very convenient to everything on Caye Caulker.

The staff was exceptionally rude. Several unnecessary rules. We learned from the locals that many guests have issues here. Failed to give us towels and then accused us of stealing the ones we never actually had. I’m a world traveler and have never experienced such hostile and rude staff. Won’t ever stay again. Beautiful location tho.

Good view from hotel with own pier , they do lots of good things like pool towels, kayaks, free tea and coffee, a fire put at night etc. There is a marked difference in the standard of rooms, the basic doubles are really quite basic and in the older block that needs some tlc. Other rooms are significantly better and benefit from the view.

The property is closs to the water taxi, restaurantss and stores. The customers service is very rude and disrespect. The room smells like feces and i had to call and ask for freshener but that wears off. I ended up moving and went to another hotel.

Well-managed, well-maintained, well-equipped

La Isla Resort is just a short two-minute walk from the water taxi terminal and it is a GREAT place to stay! I was thoroughly impressed by how the staff was constantly busy setting up, rearranging, and maintaining everything. Ken, the manager, is a joy to talk to. He and his crew create such a relaxing atmosphere that I wished I could change my plans to extend my stay. From the deck chairs on rooftop bar down to the private swimming dock and everything in between, things were clean and set up perfectly without exception! If I ever get a chance to come back to Belize, I will go out of my way to make a special trip back here

When you get off the water taxi, walk straight ahead through the basketball court to the next block. Turn right and go about two blocks and you are at the hotel. It is a simple no frills room. There was plenty of hot water in the shower, and the AC was great. Originally, they were going to put me in a first floor room, so I asked them if it was possible to go to the second floor with the terrace, and they gave me an available room upstairs. Nobody was at reception from Saturday evening through Sunday checkout. Super location.

Booked for Queen beds, got full size. Booked with desk and chair, was none. So we moved a table and chair from outside to make a desk and was accused of stealing and rearranging furniture without the managers approval. She then came up.with another table to make her decor match. I will never stay there and will make sure none of our friends or associates ever book at this property. Is a nice place and convenient to the area, but the expensive room we booked was not provided. All the manager gave us was was lies and excuses. She blamed Expedia for the issue. They have us the wrong room at a very expensive rate. Next travel, I will make sure this is not Expedia's mode of operation.

Many things inside the room didn’t work or didn’t work well. Someone came into our room to alter things within the room, like the TV, without informing us. The key to our room didn’t even work and the overall experience was just okay. The condensation from the AC causes the tile floor to always stay wet and slippery, lots of spiders and cockroaches, dripping water next to the beds from the AC and my phone charger wouldn’t work because it stayed wet from the condensation in the room. However, the view on the private pier/beach is nice and the pool looks nice although we didn’t swim. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The room was extremely cold. We had to keep the AC running because the room had no ventilation and the floor would get wet. Also, room was not cleaned or trash was not taken out the couple days we were there. We had to partially beg for clean towels because we had to use the ones we had to attempt to dry the wet floor.

Property was clean despite the abundance of sand going in and out and everywhere. I like the amenities. They had a pool, deck on top with a bar, and a fire pit. As an added bonus, if you worry about the smell from these sargassum. The Charcoal smell from the fire pit blocks it out. Also, the smell is only bad when the sun shining heavy over it, so like afternoon, I wouldn’t be too concerned with it. My only gripe is that cleaning staff did not lock my door. I addressed it to the front desk and they apologize and they assure me no one else was on the premises at that moment. There is a bit of silver lining in this incident. It’s a good indication that the area is safe as no one came into the premises.

I love the resort but there were 2 things I didn't like. The wifi wasnt good and THE BEDS ARE TOO HARD I stayed there 3 nights and I didn't get a wink of sleep at all.
