"The place is an average stay like a motel 6. Like when you visit Vegas, it’s a good place to sleep but you don’t spend much time there so not having a ton of amenities isn’t a big deal. It feels like you are paying for more but you have to remember that this place is in Chelsea, central to everything, that is what you are paying for. There are multiple subway entrances on the corner right outside the hotel. The owners could and should do a few minor upgrades to make your stay more pleasant. Replace the 19070’s windows with ones that are more energy efficient and sound proof. Patrons, if light sleepers, should bring ear plugs. If you stay in a street facing room you will be bombarded with sirens, screaming, and loud music from the street vendor all night long. Another review commented about the electrical plugs. And I wholeheartedly agreed. It’s a cheap and simple upgrade. It is a vital necessity in the technology age, especially for travels, to be able to charge devices in a reliable manner. The only plug in our room that functioned was the power strip someone installed behind the desk. No USB/C/iPone ports anywhere. Breakfast is muffins and bagels, only, and they are both very good. There is no toaster to toast the bagel but I think that is more of a function of eating them NYC style than a lack of customer service on the part of the hotel staff. However, a toaster costs very little and could potentially make so many happy. The coffee is very, very bad. "

"Bathroom was gross, had cockroaches, our room was 82 degrees, shower didn’t drain. Not a great experience at all"

"Breakfast served to room without utensils or sides. By the time we got it, our food was cold. Also fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and even though it was a false alarm, it took forever for the staff to figure how to reset the elevators and they wouldn’t let us use the stairs so we were forced to remain in the lobby waiting… Additionally, when I went to use the pool I was told that it was not included in my stay which was not correct and another member of the staff had to correct them and let me in. "

"I really liked staying at this hotel. It was a great location, excellent food options and staff was very attentive. The bar had great live music and drinks. Rooms were clean and beds were comfy. "

Quick walk to 5th Ave , Bryant park , St Patrick Cathedral & Rockefeller Center . Lots of great food spots very close by overall would definitely stay here again "

"SURPRISE FEES! The hotel is very nice, staff, rooms, bar all very nice and the location was very convenient. But the extra $80.34 Destination Fee for 2 nights was a complete surprise when Hotels.com advertises that ALL fees are included in the posted price. To make matters worse the reservation check-in person rattled off a confusing list of amenities that implied if you spent money at the hotel bar or cafe you decreased the destination fee, completely untrue, you just spent more money there, you were always going to pay the additional $40 a night fee. "
