"I checked in later I n the night I had to call the office they did come check me in. Parking was available. However, the room is big but it doesnt really have much. No hygiene, towels are thin, bathroom is older no iron. This might seem small to.some but its convenient and adds the ill stay hear again thought. Very close to beach has alot of potential."

"So these are independently owned and the owners choose the furniture and amenities . Our unit was second floor and a view of the ocean as described and pictured. Check in was easy although just fyi the parking is in a large well Marked gravel lot and then to get to your room you walk down a well lit but again gravel path. So if you have a rolling suitcase it will be a little difficult. The property has a person to help you doing normal business hours but we arrived late. We packed lightly so no issues. Also no elevator so be prepared to carry luggage up stairs if you have a 2 nd story room. Our room was not fancy at all but it was clean. The beds were not Marriott beds but we were fine. If you have back issues you may want to see if the owner of the unit you’re renting has more comfortable beds. The property has lovely trails and is just amazing. Not far from places to eat and other beach activities. We went to South Park beach and it was really nice. I’d go back and stay in the same room."

"This wouldve been 5 stars but the pillows were horrible. One was a square brick the other was so puffy i couldnt use either. It would also be nice if there was a Keurig in the room. Beautiful views and high end amenities and very clean! I would stay here again but would bring my own pillows."

"It was a very spacious, clean room, beautifully updated. No breakfast or coffee pot, but for the price difference between this property and ones with breakfast, we could easily go out for breakfast at a restaurant, and have money leftover."

"Fantastic rustic gem, pet friendly, sitting right on the beach. Employees are all pleasant and helpful. The kids loved the pool and kids play area. We will definitely be staying here again in the future."

"Great location but little beach access close by. King bed was comfortable. Room and building out dated and had some carpet coming up, not great shower but for the price it wasn't bad. Close to hear places to eat in walking distance."

"My solo stay at Hotel Sylvia was nothing short of magical. From the moment I pulled up, I knew I'd found something special. Perched with an unobstructed view of the Pacific, the hotel offers a panorama of crashing waves and dramatic coastal skies that had me lingering at the window every morning with my coffee. The rooms are where Hotel Sylvia truly shines. Each one is uniquely themed; mine felt like stepping into a whimsical storybook, with playful décor and charming details around every corner. But don't let the quirky vibe fool you: the bed was hands-down one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. I sank into it and slept like a rock to the soothing sound of the ocean. Then there's Café Sylvia. I'm still dreaming about it. The food was absolutely outstanding. Do not skip the café; eat delicious fare while enjoying an amazing view. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the whole place has that rare combination of character, comfort, and location that's nearly impossible to find. As a solo traveler, I felt completely at ease and thoroughly spoiled. Hotel Sylvia isn't just a place to stay - it's an experience. I'm already planning my next visit. Five stars, without hesitation!"
