“The room has lovely sea views but the carpet is heavily stained and the decor generally quite tired. The room was also incredibly hot despite being offered a fan by the helpful staff. It is a great hindrance that the windows cannot be opened more than a few inches.
For a hotel of this reputation and in this price range, air conditioning should be incorporated throughout.

“This is a renowned upmarket hotel in a very beautiful setting. However when we checked in we were struck by the rather cool formality of the 'welcome' ... we felt as though we were simply processed in a pretty impersonal way with no warmth whatsoever. When we reached our room, we were amazed to discover it wasn't equipped with even a tiny fridge ... presumably to encourage guests to spend £ in the hotel bar.
