If you already had a reservation then nobody tried to raise your rate. We had two reservations fro the races that night. One of you showed up and the other one stiffed us. From now on we will simply make everyone pay up front that way it is paid before you get here and we don't have to worry about no shows.

We have cabins and rooms so had you told us you wanted a cabin when you arrived we would have gladly changed it for you. We do charge by the person and sorry that was not clearly stated on the travel site as it should have been.

Sorry, we are pet friendly and had you bothered to read where you booked it does not say every room and cabin is pet friendly. You also failed to tell us you had extra guests, a cat and a dog. I get so sick and tired of people trying to take advantage of every situation like this. Somehow I was supposed to feel sorry for you trying to take advantage. Who leaves their pets in a car unattended anyway. You were very rude and occasionally we have a guest you cannot reason with. As for the other motels in town, read the reviews, they speak for themselves. We have the best reviews in nearly the entire State of Iowa and thankfully we only run across a bad one once in a great while. Thanks for the review, I will add it to the book I am writing.

Thanks for your review. Our place is named Country Cabins so everyone assumes that everything we have to offer is cabins. We have 8 suites and 8 individual cabins. We have a beautiful website with virtual tour videos of each and every suite and cabin but when people use booking agents to book online they do not show what we truly are so you do not get the entire picture. A simple phone call also would have cleared that up. We would have gladly put you in a cabin had you even mentioned that when you arrived. Hopefully if you come back we can make sure you receive the cabin of your choosing. Thanks for our business.

I love anonymous bogus reviews that do not allow me to give a response. Helps my customers see that it is fake when all of my other reviews are all great reviews. It is a shame when someone leaves a fake review when they have never even stayed at our motel when we are clearly the top rated for nearly the entire State of Iowa.

The first cabin they had did have a kitchenette and there ended up being no plumbing problem after all and we changed cabins within an hour after they arrived to upgraded cabin at no extra cost. Glad they enjoyed their stay. Thanks.

We intentionally built two cabins without indoor facilities as some people want the real cabin experience even if the bath house is just 5' away. Hopefully we can break the dry spell soon and do a rain dance so it will be full for your next visit! We do have 3 lakes right close for fishing in the mean time.
