Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've planned ahead. We've compiled a list of essential travel tips that will help get your Jinbu vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a pleasure if you've got all the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a clean set of clothes and something to read. Next, make room in your hand luggage for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any vital medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your trusty pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and gasoline, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The long, narrow aisles of an aircraft are no fashion runway. Wear comfortable clothes and pack a sweater as it tends to get cool in the cabin during long-haul flights. Closed-toed, flat shoes are also a good choice.
- Most travelers have heard about DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of inactivity. There are plenty of ways to lower your risk. Wear a good-quality pair of compression socks, stay well hydrated and keep your legs and feet moving. Do a lap or two of the cabin or try out some simple stretches in your seat.
