Below average
Very unfriendly staff. Toilets are badly designed with no separate bathing area. Staff kept on saying as its a online booking many facilities were not available

Room comfort was ok. Bathroom needs improvement. Free breakfast was terrible. Coffee very bitter. No hair dryer for standard rooms. No toilet paper.

Surprisingly Splendid Hotel
We were pleasantly surprised to find this special hotel in the busy urban environment of Chennai. The staff were extremely attentive, assisting with luggage, answering questions, responding to concerns, etc. The hotel is also located very close to the airport, only about 2 km away, which was convenient in catching my flight out of India in a timely, relaxed manner.

Don't expect the moon at this price point
While reading reviews I always discard the ones which are extreme, like its the worst!! or its the best of my life!! So I would not give any extreme views. Our 5 day stay was pleasant , the staff was good in spite of the language barriers. A small tip everywhere takes you a long way. If you are not miserly you will enjoy. good thing - near to the airport, cabs always available, easy to come back to from any point in city if you mention pallavaram flyover. not so good things- none which i can think of

Not a boutique!
I had a short stay and would rate my experience as average. The dish TV signal was not strong and went off. The free wi-fi was ok. Food in the restaurant was good!

Family stay
Rooms were clean. The room keys did not work properly and we had to check with reception every time. Skip the free breakfast and try the nearby Anandabhavan or Balajee.

Too expensive less worth
My wife and my in laws traveled to Chennai for a week and they needed a stay for a night before they fly from Chennai International Airport next morning. The basic disappointments are as below: 1. Room size: Too small room though we booked the best one which they claim to be deluxe. 2. Amenities: They claimed they have a mini-bar in the room. Though we found two cans of soda which I would not mention as mini-bar going ahead. 3. Cleanliness: Certain amount of smell was coming out of the whole room and the bathroom which will not give anyone a very nice feeling. Rooms were apparently just fine but not clean completely. 4. Bathroom: Should be more clean and the warm water did not work and it was not fixed. 5. Hotel Food: The restaurant had pathetic food. The north Indian cuisines were smelling of south Indian spices and they were tasteless and over priced. Its a pain after a long day if you want to survive on this! 6. Staffs: Barely understand english. So its very tough to connect with them.

This Hotel Should Not Be on Expedia
Reached hotel to find it shares a common entrance with a crowded restaurant where you have to carry your luggage through a waiting crowd to reach an elevator. The hotel did not have the Expedia reservation. They apparently had not logged in for a few days. Finally got rooms assigned to find weird bathrooms where shower is not separate. You take a shower, you wet/flood the whole bathroom. This hotel is clearly not for any Western traveler.

Pros. Close to airport. Rooms quite clean. Cheap. Cons. Hotel motto 'service with a smile'. Hotel service anything but. Rude and offhand manner at reception badly let's down an already average hotel in a downmarket location. Rooms average and fairly clean but since hotel just opened expect this hotel standards to fall quickly. Can't recommend.

Reasonable Hotel!
I stayed in the Hotel for two days. Hotel is very small. Rooms are few, may be that is why servicing was good. It was clean, centrally located Hotel.

Great, but....
On the whole, good, and convenient to the airport. There were several problems, however: The air conditioner sprayed water over the bed and its contents, it was difficult getting Wi-Fi, and while the breakfast was fine, the tables (cloths and place mats) were dirty.

Accueil bien et personnel attentif. Cependant, voici mes observations: Nettoyage de la chambre que en fin de séjour, changement des serviette et vidange des poubelles que tous les 2 jour. Serviettes propres. propreté de la salle de bain mais hôtel vieillissant. Télé trés bien, avec de nombreuses chaînes, une chaîne telle BBC serait appréciable. Room service -Trés gentil pour la buanderie, mais pas de notion du respect du sommeil du client, qu on réveille à 22h pour emmener la chemise et le pentalon encore chauds et tout juste repassés quand cela était prévu le lendemain.Le service de repas en chambre est trés pratique qu on peut commander du restaurant en bas de l hôtel, mais attendre 45 min pour une commande de 4 tranches d ananas et un jus d ananas me semble exagéré. Lit trés trés confortable et qui reste le point fort de cette chambre, sans un tel lit on irait ailleurs. Trés peu de respect du silence du sommeil des résidents, couloir qui résonne et personnel bavard dans les couloirs jusqu'à tard le soir.Train a deux pas donc pratique pour celui qui voudrait se mêler à la population et vivre l inde avec toute son authenticité. Trés pratique comme hôtel de transit car à 1.5 km de l aéroport donc trés bien pour des vols trés matinaux.

On the main road to Airport near shopping malls
Good hotel and good location with 24-hr check-out time but the price is still expensive. The breakfast was good quality. The hotel is newly constructed with new furnishings. But, the room size is very small for any extra bed. The daily rate for the hotel is very high for the facility and size of the room. The rate should be reduced to give better value for the money.

The stay was comfortable, will look forward to come again in the next trip. The staff arranged for the breakfast,before their scheduled time as I had to leave early by 7.

Great transit hotel but a letdown in a few areas
As a transit hotel, Buhari Royal did not disappoint. Clean bed and room although it would have been great if the shower head worked and there was hot water. My other issue with the hotel was the serving time of the breakfast, which was only available after 8am. This is a little late by most hotel standards considering that tourists or business people may like an early start. Also, there was a table cloth that was curry-stained the night before and not changed, and new breakfast cutlery was just placed on the table. This is unacceptable!

As advertised.
Stayed at this hotel for an overnight stay to catch a flight early in the morning. Less than 10 minutes from the airport. The hotel was clean and the pictures of the hotel were an accurate representation of what we experienced. The room service and bell hop service were also prompt and courteous. Will stay here again next time and can recommend without reservations.

Shower Not functioning.So we are forced to bath with mug and bucket.Hotel staffs are not receptive to our complaints.They have not arranged pickup.They said, airport drop is free but the cab driver demanded Rs.100 extra and for that he argued rudely.So I paid Rs.100 extra to avoid quarrels with the driver.They don't have control over drivers.Rs.3200 for the room is not worth .

Value for Money
It was close to airport and they had provided free shuttle service. In fact i took taxi and they paid the taxi. Hotel is new just 4 months since its started, with good furniture. Just had problems with water pressure in taps, but you could choose your own room. Staffs are quite friendly. Hotel also have inhouse buhari restaurant, which is one of the famous restaurant for south Indian cuisine. They also provided complimentary delicious south Indian breakfast , Its worth staying in this hotel.
