The town itself is a bit humdrum. However, Durham is nearby and it’s absolutely beautiful. We loved visiting the Cathedral and walking around the town

This was our second visit, and it didn’t fail to impress. On this occasion we stayed over Christmas, and the hotel was decorated fabulously. We had a castle feature room which was lovely.
