The room given to us was dirty and unsanitary. The entire room had a distinctive smell of mold, the sheets had stains and the bathroom shower curtain had huge mold growing on it. When the issue was brought up, the justification was that it was a budget hotel. While the establishment is not a luxurious one, cleanliness and hygiene is not a luxury. Could not risk getting sick so quickly moved to another hotel last minute but despite not using the room AT ALL, the owner refused to return any of the money paid.

Excellent location, cant be any better right in the middle of old city. Around 20 steps away are fantastic, authentic local restaurants, one even having a Michelin award. The rooms are spacious and clean like your auntie’s guest bedroom. Dont expect luxury. However, the cherry on the top is Ms Luck, the owner, who will make you feel very welcome. She will take care of you better than any concierge in a Marriott. She is like your kind auntie who genuinely cares. After booking a coupke of our trips which we requested, she gave us back her commission from the tour company! Where else can you see that?

This petty is in the heart of the Old City. It is literally steps away from the Sunday night market. The owner/property manager lives on the property and was very helpful in organizing transportation for our family. The connecting family room was perfect for our family of 6.

Great location
Unfortunately, I could not stay in this pleasant hotel because there was no elevator. However, the owner, her name is Luk was very friendly and kindly agreed to cancel the reservation without charge, and even took me to another hotel. I recommend this hotel to those for whom an elevator is not critical because everything else was perfectly fine and the staff are very friendly and always there to help

I stayed here for 6 nights in early December because of the great location being in the very middle of Old Chiang Mai. The place looks exaxtly like it does in the pictures and is very clean. It is family owned by a wonderful Thai lady named Lucky. She is a great host, speaks English well, very fun and friendly, and is very knowledgeable of everything that goes on in town. She has great recommendations on local food, tours, and events happening in Chiang Mai - many of which is within an 8 minute walk. This location is perfect for those who want to walk around town because it's a 10-15 minute walk to the edge of Old Chiang Mai and is literally steps away from the Sunday Walking Street (night market). I had no issues with noise from outside because it is tucked away enough from the street to not hear any cars drive by. If you don't want a hostel and want a large private room without having to pay lots of money for an expensive hotel, this place is great for solo travellers, couples, and people who really want to immerse themselves in the local community. It really felt like I was staying at a family members home for the whole stay. Very warm and welcoming. See you next time Lucky!

Best staff and location. Felt like family. Very helpful with getting tours, transportation, food and others. Next door to the right, small family breakfast restuarant is the best as well. Check it out.

Entrance is very nice, room is big, everything is renovated, good location, city centre. Didn’t like early morning noise from local people nearby who are up very early in the morning and start cooking and making noise. Also, rooms are poorly insulated and some guests can be very loud.

The location is good, staff helpful, large rooms,fridge/microwave in room. One mild complaint- no hand soap or hand towel ( this is not uncommon in Asia) provided. Major complaint- I like a somewhat firm bed but the beds are VERY firm. I didn’t sleep well and woke up with body aches everyday. I seldom have trouble in hotel beds. If you like a soft bed this is not the hotel for you

Great choice for small families
Family room with three king beds very clean and quiet, excellent choice at fair price for small families, off the main street. Excellent location between major Wats. No breakfast, but next door has a small cafe for American style breakfast. Two very close Thai restaurants serve Thai breakfast.(noodles/rice dishes). The ladies running this small hotel are wonderful and helpful.

The first impression was quite good. Great location in the center of the Old City. The room was big and clean, but on closer inspection we found a few flaws: torn sheets, no shower curtain, stains on the walls and quite a lot of ants. Even for Thai standards the mattresses were really hard. Additionally, the house is poorly soundproofed, so you can hear everything that is going on in the hallway and adjacent rooms, which is quite annoying when people leave or arrive during nighttime. On the second day we booked a tour to Doi Inthanon national park with a private driver for THB 3200 at the hotel reception. Despite having booked a full-day private tour to give us more flexibility, we had a bit of an argument with the driver and our host, because the driver didn’t want to bring us to another waterfall in the park outside the main tourist bus route. Furthermore, the hotel offers a laundry service for THB 40 / kg. We got a glimpse at the receipt before we picked up the laundry but when we went to pay she charged an additional THB 40 and didn’t want to show us the receipt. As it was just THB 40 we didn’t want to argue, but such dishonesty is a no go.

Overall our stay was very pleasant. Staff gave us a new room because the previous one smelled like cigarette (not cool that other guests smoked in the room), room was spacious and confortable and the location was very good (lots of great options for eating), the only thing that we did not like was that the air conditioning was too noisy so we had to turn it off and then turn in back on when it got to warm.

This place was conveniently located in the center of the Old City - easy to walk around (especially the Sunday walking street market) and tons of food shops nearby. Comfortable beds, good A/C, friendly staff - even a microwave! A couple things that kept me from giving 5 stars all across: 1) the odd bug or two would be encountered in the room 2) after the 1st day of cleaning - I noticed money missing from my messenger bag (a bill of $1000 TWD = $33USD). It was in one of the loose pockets, so perhaps it was my fault for not storing it properly. However, it was a bit disappointing. The staff did note this concern and wrote down the details, but no follow-up. Despite this, I would still likely refer future travelers to Little Bear's Home if they intend on being near the Old City.

We already do everything about this , we ask every housekeeper about this and tell to looking through every trash (in case they didn't know it's money and threw it away without knowing but we never found anything. We try to solve it before you check out but as you can see we never found your money. And we are very sorry about this situation.

A Lovely Bear Hotel in Thapae Walking Street.
This is my second time at Little Bear's Home. The staffs were so kind and upgraded my room to be Deluxe for free! The room was very big, spacious, with a big fridge, dishes, mugs, forks and spoons and a microwave. The bathroom is spacious too. There is a big comfy sofa that you can chillax and watch TV. The beds are clean and the pillows are soft. You'll have several cute bear plushies in your room. And there are cute bear paintings all over the hotel. The location is superb because Thapae Walking Street (*Sunday Night Market) is right in front of the alley where the hotel is located. Just take a few steps and you will find yourself in the market already. An ideal place for anyone who plans to visit this night market and its surroundings.

A lovely small hotel, would definitely recommend!
The hotel is located in a side street off the main Ratchadamnoen road. Chiang Mai is small, and this hotel is centrally located with multiple large Wats, shops and restaurants in close walking distance. The central location also means that if you book excursions that require hotel pickup in a minibus to take you out of Chiang Mai, Little Bear is often the first or second pick up spot, so you get pick of the minibus seat! The hotel is clean, the staff are friendly and attentive, there is a rapid inexpensive laundry service and I would 100% return to this hotel! My one criticism would be that there no breakfast available in the hotel, but there is a breakfast cafe literally right next door, so it was never an issue!

Excellent location, clean and modern
We stayed two nights at Little Bears house over the Songkran celebrations and it was an oasis of calm away from the madness of Songkran! The hotel is located in the centre of Chiang Mai, an easy walk to many restaurants, cafes and other attractions. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed, and I was surprised at how quiet it was at night considering its central location. The children loved the teddy bear theme, and it gave the place a unique feel. I would certainly use the hotel again and definitely recommend it.
