Friendly hosts and the breakfast croissants are delicious. The rooms are charming and quiet while being centrally located in the hip seaside village if Sumner.

Owner yelled at us

The owner yelled at us just because there was some water outside of the shower area within the bathroom.We offered the owner that we shall clean that area in the bathroom but the owner still kept yelling at us. After the incident, we were very scared. The owners were extremely rude. It was a very disturbing and uncomfortable stay. The table and chairs outside our room were completely rusted. The wardrobes in our room were filled with computer monitors. The coffee maker wasn't clean. The breakfast was pretty moderate.

Homeless

We were in NZ to sell my Mum's house and needed a place for the last 2 days as we finished up Great location still being close to the city and offering the beach for a couple of days Lovely B&B, nice room with a view of the beach from the balcony. Great breakfast and lovely host. Will be back when we visit Mum now in a Care facility

The owners were lovely. The room was spotless and beautiful. Breakfast was delicious and the dog was adorable. Nothing to fault!! We had a lovely 2 night stay.

Very Pleasant Early Summer Sojourn in Sumner

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Le Petit Hotel. Martine and Bruce were delightful hosts who looked after us very well. The breakfast was a real highlight! Sumner proved a very nice base. We enjoyed walks on the beach, the variety of good local eateries and exploring the Summit Road and Banks Peninsula.

Charming hotel close to Sumner Beach and a short walk to the shops and cafes. The freshly baked croissants at breakfast were delicious!

Beautiful place and very friendly host. Bruce and Martine went out of their way to make you feel at home. The accommodation was very quaint and well maintained. The breakfast was wonderful. Will definitely stay at this property again.

Cute French styled motel overlooking the ocean.

The hotel is adorable. The location is convenient with a beautiful view. They make there own croissants in house! Loved the room, the water pressure was awesome! The proprietor was fantastic. We recommend this establishment very highly. We would absolutely stay here again!

Nice spot about 15 minutes outside of Christchurch

Awesome little hotel to stay. Beautiful spot on the peninsula. Only down side is a lot of road construction going on in the area, not to the fault of the hotel, of course.

Loved the location across the street from the beach....we could hear the waves once the road traffic slowed at night. Croissants for breakfast was a lovely French treat!

Small hotel. Bit old fashioned, but very nice all the same. Very pleasant, helpful owners. Probably could do with some modernisation. Breakfast nice but limited. 2 minutes walk from the beach.

Lovely French atmosphere, very boutique, near Sumner Beach. Warm welcome, nice breakfast. However the queen size bed was ‘snug’ to say the least and each time one of us rolled over, the other was almost bounced out! Only nets not curtains so streetlight was intrusive and noise from main road kept us awake.
