“Overall, this was a wonderful area and very quiet for our 4th of July getaway. Our room was very lovely (the bed was super comfy) and the staff very friendly. Our shower was a bit of a mess at the build kept causing water to pool out due to it's lack of ability to drain correctly. Our balcony view was enjoyable and allowed us to keep watching the fireworks that were happening all the way down on St. Simons and Jekyll Island. Good sized gym and pool area and there were a handful of local eateries...

“If you are looking to stay on St. Simon's Island do not book your stay at Epworth by The Sea. The staff was not friendly or accommodating at all. When we arrived to the property. We were left in the dark about the properties'' amenities unless we asked. The iron in the room was broken, there are spider nests and cob webs all over the place inside and outside. My biggest complaint however, is that our first morning we left the "maid service please" signage outside on the door handle that was...

“Management needs an overhaul. The place is woefully understaffed and the staff is clearly poorly trained. There are very few amenities for a place that charges what Jekyl charges. Dining options are virtually non-existent and activities are very limited. Yes, history was created there but other than that, it is not worth the expense.”

“Valet parking was worth it because parking is very limited around the hotel. Check in was really fabulous with Prosecco offered as well as a genuinely friendly lady to offer information about the beautiful and expansive hotel. The property is unique and in a great location right on the beautiful Savannah River. Our room was nice and AC worked good considering how hot it was outside. Our room even included a sound machine to help with a little noise from the street after 4th of July celebrations...
