“This property is a hidden gem. The grounds are amazing, full of stunning gardens, and the view of the river is fantastic. There are outdoor games for the kids, and an overlook where the adults can enjoy a beverage while watching the sunset. Our room even had a fireplace. I would highly recommend! ”
“This building is a historical landmark. It is well-maintained and very comfortable. Breakfast is not included however, coffee was provided along with some incredible biscotti. The staff was great… even fun….”
“What a GREAT find at Cascade Motel in the beautiful town of Cascade Locks!
We arrived early around 1130am and check-in wasn’t until 3pm. Room was available and were allowed to check-in early.
Well appointed cottage and had everything you would need.
Owners Scott & Darlene were fantastic, gave us great information on where to eat and where too visit the area…
The only downside? We were only there for 24 hours. We definitely will be coming back for a much longer stay.
Thank You for your...
“The location allows pets and doesn’t charge an obscene price. The room was clean, bed were new and soft with lots of pillows. A good ac unit because it was over 100 degrees outside but in our room it was 65.
We hit a deer on the hwy and were stranded most of the day until the evening. Called the front desk and he allowed us to check in early with no extra fee. Really saved us from heat exposure if we had to wait until 2 o’clock for check in.
My family and I will be staying there again for...
“The employee at front desk Bryce went above and beyond. He was friendly and outgoing….such a people person! We love this hotel and only stay here when we are in Portland!!!”
"The location is excellent. Overall, the staff are friendly. The rooms are spacious and decent, but they do not meet the high-end quality I imagined when booking. It's an average hotel, but it has a few drawbacks.
Firstly, it was listed as offering free breakfast, but instead of an actual free breakfast, they provide a credit that can be used like a voucher for the total amount. The breakfast itself is not great for the price, so it doesn’t seem worth selecting. Additionally, there is no bathtub in the bathroom, which is a disappointing omission.
The tap water is also quite murky. They claim it’s mineral water, but it just looks dirty. Being sensitive, I also experienced minor skin irritation after using the water.
The pool and fitness center are somewhat small but usable. This hotel is $40–50 more expensive than others, and I booked it for the pool and breakfast as its advantages, but they weren’t particularly necessary, as the experience is ultimately similar to other hotels.
It wasn’t a bad experience, but I’ll likely try other hotels next time."
