“Lovely hotel. Stayed with my wife for her birthday. We had a deluxe room which was quite a long walk from hotel reception. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was massive! Only negative points for the room were the amount of cobwebs and dust around light fittings and soundproofing between rooms. We could clearly hear people in other rooms using their toilet facilities. “Place smelled horrible. Bedsheets were stained. Mold all over the shared bathroom. I found a pair of used underwear beneath my mattress. The place had not been vacuumed in ages. Very shocked Expedia would allow a place like this to remain on their website. ”

“We stayed for 3 night's and the manager and staff were very welcoming throughout our stay. The manager was very kind to give all of us upgrades which was a very pleasant surprise. Bedding/towels were very nice. Breakfast was very agreeable. You could choose from both continental and cooked items From the menu. Perfect spot for us as we were there visiting family/fiends in the area. Lots of great pub/restaurants to choose from in the surrounding areas.”

“A really well positioned hotel for Alderley Edge and surrounding area. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast options and quality of food was very good. The only thing that let our stay down and the reason for 3 stars was the rooms. They were very tired and could have been better maintained - scuffs on walls, dripping tap, toilet that didn’t flush properly and untidy sealant in bathroom. We also asked the cleaner to re-clean the room as there was dust and a cobweb which was done...

“I booked two rooms as a last minute stay. Immediately on bookimg I had two phone calls that I missed as I was in my way to the accommodation. I then received a text message to tell me they could not accommodate my booking and to cancel. I was adviced by Expedia not to cancel as this would be against the cancellation policy - I am still trying to get a refund and will probably have to esculate the process”
