“Value for money. Staffs are kind and breakfast was good. A lot better than expected.”

“The menu was limited, expensive and some dishes were poor. The room “Brewery” was small, limited storage, no fridge, tired decor and UNBEARABLY HOT. However must commend the staff for working through the heatwave. Particular thanks goes to Courtney who was extremely helpful and friendly. In summary hotel should investigate the installation of air conditioning or the use of portable air conditioning units for the summer months. “The Bell Inn was gorgeous it would have received a 5 star rating if it wasn’t for the staffing issues. Housekeeping had failed to turn up that day and they hadn’t realised until nearly checking time so we never got into our room until 5.45. The staff dealt with this delay professionally and we were served with complimentary drinks. This caused us a bit of an issue as we had to leave at 6.15 for a meal elsewhere. Would definitely stay here again if in this area.”

“Lots of character, authentic, old inn (original part built circa 1690) set in beautiful countryside. Some parking on site at rear, but one evening we had to park on the roadside. (It is a quiet road so OK.) There is a nice seating area in a garden in front of the Inn. Nice ambiance overall. Staff are very friendly. Evening meal and breakfast were good. The double room we stayed in was sufficiently quiet and of an acceptable size. Would definitely consider staying again if in the area.”

“What an awesome hotel, everyone was friendly. No air conditiioning, but we survived well. Don't think that if you are from the states, you should rent a car. There are plenty of options for transportation vendors, the hotel will provide you the contacts. Beautiful part of the world.”

“Well positioned a short way up a small hill. Nice tasty meals. However the outside of the shower tray needed a deep clean and our room only had a skylight window which resulted in it being very warm, even at night, in the high temperatures.”

“We (family of 4) stayed here for 3 nights and couldn’t be happier! Our two-storey cottage was spacious, and well appointed with gorgeous linens and bath products. The complimentary breakfast far exceeded the ‘standard’ continental breakfast and the kitchen serves delicious meals for dinner. All the staff (Luca, Martina and Finn) were so friendly, helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend staying here and eating a hearty pub meal!”

“The property was well positioned. The Cotswolds are BUSY, so it was great to have somewhere to stay out of the busyness. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was a great size (room 2). No aircon which was an issue in the latest heatwave. The staff did try to help by putting a fan in the room. We used the restaurant for dinner and there was a wide selection of choices. This can also be said about breakfast.”

“Beautiful hotel and wonderful breakfast included with stay. We stayed in the Old Justice room and despite not having air conditioning, we were able to open the windows to cool the room very comfortably. The room was beautiful and having the extra living space as a separate room made it feel so spacious and luxurious. “We loved staying here between our visit to Oxford and Bath. The house was very comfortable and gave us the feel for the Cotswolds even though we only stayed one night. The breakfast was delicious and the hostess was hospitable. The price of our May stay was extremely affordable and we feel we got our money’s worth by far. We just loved this place!!”

“The place itself was immaculate. However the moment we checked in we went to the spa where the cryotherapy was broken and we couldn’t order any refreshments as the lady said she couldn’t leave her post. We waited for over an hour and half for dinner and there was no advice on things to do on activities.”

“Just dont bother Not a 4 star property Rooms upstairs are run down, bathtoom full of spiders Bed was full of ants. Ants on the table in the morning where the tea and coffee was next to the food. Shower was scoulding hot and cold water tap was scoulding hot got told nothing they can do as its due to the heatwave!!!”
