“I have rarely used exceptional to review a hotel but the Kames was. We travelled here from New Zealand on holiday and we only had one night but it was exceptional. The restaurant menu is top class, the range on the menu was great and seriously 10/10. I had locally free dived seared scallops from the loch, I had the slow roasted goat shank with lentils - exceptional, and we shared a lemon tart with fresh berries. “Lovely traditional seaside hotel in Largs, ideally placed for the beach. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and our hosts were so friendly and nice. My adult daughter and I stayed for 2 nights with our dogs and we had a fabulous time. Thank you :-)”

“The staff were great but the property could do with a bit of an upgrade. Shower nozzle was blocked and the shower gel was empty. That being said it was not expensive and we had good craic with Dougie and the other locals in the bar.”
