I arrived to four police cars removing a disgruntled guest. Told the kitchen was open after I had been driving 9 hours and it was closed. Not that they bothered anyone really, but several work trucks that had parked about back contained workers drinking, smoking and relaxing. Two night the two am guests were stomping around loudly enough to wake me and my last night someone was wandering the halls calling for a dog and outside. While I applaud the fact I saw workers doing renovations, they have a long way to go. The property is in an industrial part of town at the north west corner of two intersecting freeways. The ambient freeway noise was not a problem on the rear or west side of the building.
I stayed because there was an 8.2 rating. Mine would be closer to 6.5 or 2.25 depending on the scale. I certainly understand why there is something called a degree in hospitality. Not feeling well and having car problems, I called to the front desk to see if I could extend my stay. We are booked full. I was told. So I gotta go… yes, click. Damn. That was rude. Two hours later, I laughed- “Negative Ghost Rider, the Pattern is full.” If I could only do a fly by. Last time I was in Denver it was 30 years ago… no reason to rush back. ( cute house if you have money, beer places an bars everywhere and Denver city and county health services do not return calls) Peace Out
