“It is an old property and has been maintained somewhat unfortunately both the Bar and the Restaurant were closed we also had a hard time checking in as there was no one on the property just a note with phone numbers to call. I did eventually get a hold of someone and they appeared about ten minutes later. The little beach besides the hotel is quite popular with the locals who play with there kids, walk there dogs and go swimming there, note also that it is only accessible when the tide is out as...

“Old property but really well updated. Almost empty for my stay at very start of season so my single room on 2nd floor was quiet. Room clean and comfortable. New ensuite with walk in shower 10/10. Breakfast continental or pay extra for cooked. Parking easy ( you really need a car) and Scalloway very well placed for touring. Hotel closed for food in evening whilst I was there and not much else locally but really enjoyed my stay and would definitely use again.”

“Lovely staff, presentable common areas, breakfast choices limited but a freshly cooked breakfast is offered. Unfortunately the rooms are super dated and old fashioned for a premium price over £150 per night. In the uk they would struggle to get £60 per night.”

“We have stayed at the Kveldsro for a week plus on two occasions, and really enjoyed ourselves each time. The hotel is not a new building, but as a result is full of character. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms fairly recently updated. The dining room and many of the bedrooms have a wonderful view over the Lerwick harbour. One of the best aspects is that the hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from Commercial Street, and within easy walking distance of most of the many...

“Beautiful views of crofts and the sea. The room was quiet and comfortable. The bed especially comfortable with cotton sheets and cushy duvet. Teas and coffee were available. Breakfast absolutely delicious with the host preparing any level of breakfast need.”
