“The hotel is very peaceful and quiet, hotel is spotlessly clean. And the restaurant serves excellent food, The Hotel is around 26 minutes to bath & 40 minutes to Bristol . This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel & we have always been happy with our stay. Would highly recommend this hotel.”

“Max 2 star property. We were given the room called ‘tiny double’ which was awful. The bedding and pillows smelt damp. The fire alarm went off whenever we used the shower because of the steam even when we kept the bathroom door closed. There was no floor space at all once our suitcase was opened. For just under £300 per night it is shocking. Breakfast was so basic. We ordered a full english for £18 but had for pay extra for toast?! We were told that because we booked via expedia we had to pay...

“Beautiful grounds, excellent staff but room fell short of expectations - no air conditioning, bath/shower difficult to get into, no shower caps, no toilet brush, flush difficult to use, waste bin not emptied - maybe all OK when built (2005?) but at the price charged we hoped for better. Cooked breakfast was good - they know how to poach an egg - but fruit juices at best were supermarket quality, limited fruit on offer (melon, pineapple and maybe blackcurrant) and same both days were there.”

“Greatly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful hotel in a medieval town. The rooms were very nice, the restaurant was excellent. Many lovely places to sit with a drink and/or food. Wonderful breakfast and close, free parking. Very conveniently located”
