“Characture full building, set in nice park”

“The room was spacious with a huge bed, comfy chairs and a great power shower. Staff were lovely and there was plenty of free parking. Food was not available but we knew that before booking so it wasn't a problem. There was a bar in the evening and lots of seating.”

“Lovely place, lovely people, lovely breakfast. No air conditioning was a bad feature. The fan provided had no impact. If it had been the heatwave week it would have been unbearable.”

“2 ieme étage pas d’ascenseur, escalier environ 60 cms de large. Pas d’AC, il faisait au moins 32 dans la chambre. Pas de douche seulement un bain dangereux. Parking très difficile. Déjeuner vraiment de base.”

“Being put in a room where all the air conditioning units were on the roof of the building facing you and extremely noisy!”

“Enjoyed our stay in a garden room. Although the gardens aren’t totally finished it’s nice to see the progress being made and on a sunny day it’s nice to have direct access. Fantastic meal in the kitchen restaurant. We had dined in prevost on previous occasions but the standard of dishes in the other restaurant was great. Friendly reception when we arrived. Breakfast is fantastic. If you are looking for a night or two to relax in a pretty and period setting then this hotel is recommended.”

“Quaint hotel in a beautiful city”

“I went gor two nights during the heatwave. The room was lovely and cool the first night, but on night two the ac was on but not cool and I boiled all night - used the fan but its not the same. Im guessing but either they forgot I was there for a second night and turned it off, or they'd run out of ad blue or similar. I was too tired to say a thing but sleeping with a fan in your face doesn't compare to ac. Also the cokes out of the fridge weren't cold, and the chocolate melted. And shower...

“Far to warm. No air con in rooms just a plug in fan to circulate the warm air. Can open window a few inches but does nothing to cool the temperature. Someone's toe nail left on floor. Hair dryer didn't work. Breakfast was ok. Glad to leave to get air con in car. Won't be booking this place if it's warm again!!!!! Did ask staff not really interested.”

“Old carpets, full of hair, bathroom taps needed a quick degree of understanding how to get the shower working:( Fan was very dusty and couldn't use without getting it cleaned. bearing in mind not all the rooms had AC as described online.”

“My tv would not allow me to watch England v Croatia game. Poor signal during stay but Wednesday packed in. Very annoying”

“The breakfast was disappointing. Bread and croissants were dried up and stale. Too much was put out at the start - put less out and staff should monitor refilling as needed. Parking was excellent which is a bonus in Stamford”

“Second we have stayed as we are visiting extended family. Didnt spend alot of time here this time but the time before we had a meal and drinks. Beautiful place. Food amazing and the staff are lovely. Bedrooms are very nice and comfy”
