“The swiming pool waas drained and unusable. Checkin was easy. There was no booklet in the room that showed times of continental breakfast, checkout time, no Do Not DISTURB sign on door that we could put out, etc. and things to do around town. The pillows were very flat and no extra pillows. The AC just blew forward. It was a place to stay, reasonable price. Staff was friendly and nice.”

“Expedia listed the stay at $72 after all fees. I was charged an extra $9 for booking fee at check-in. This isn’t the reason for poor ratings. Rated poorly due to the terrible bed, bathroom and poor condition of the room overall. I’d suggest skipping the Budget Inn of Long Prairie,MN.”

“Most everything was great”

“The photos? Sure, they look decent — but they’re taken at just the right angles and just the right lighting to hide the reality. The place is dated, dark, and dingy. What you see online is NOT what you get in person. Upon arrival, we were never sent check-in instructions. We had to call and wait on hold for 20 minutes just to figure out how to get in — standing in the heat with our bags like lost tourists. Inside? A sauna. No air conditioning, no fans, no airflow whatsoever. It was like trying...

“The property was convenient for our needs. The front desk check in was “non memorable”. Arriving at 8PM, a smile & welcome would have helped. Didn’t expect a two floor property not to have an elevator. I’ll go with that all of the first floor rooms were occupied. Or at least letting our senior age appearance be an indicator of prior knowledge before climbing up the stairs with our luggage. It was too late & also being tired to go back to the front desk to discuss. Also, the A/C was just loud...
